Friends of ours re-located to the Orlando area and were thinking about hanging out with us while at BLT. We were all just going to hang out by the pool all day. Will they be allowed on the property? If so do they just give the guard our name? Thanks.

Yes the will be allowed on property. No they are not suppose to use the pool if the rules are followed. Lifeguards sometimes make exceptions allowing people to break the rules.

If you are under occupancy, you can always add them as guests to your room, so they will have room keys and will not be questioned. The only glitch would be if you are on the dining plan. All guests in the room must be on the dining plan.

The only people allowed to use the BLT pool are registered guests at BLT. So no they can't use the pool. End of story.

No, it's not really "end of story"...if the OP's room is under the "legal" occupancy, then the op can add guests upto the occupancy and then the guests therefore would have the legal ability to use the pool as they'd then be "registered" guests.
:)

no sure if this is legal or not - you and your guests can go over to the CR - big pool (not the tiny one that BLT has).

If the visitor is not a registered guest then no not allowed at CR either.

Actually, it would be end of story. If the OP had vacant occupancy in their villa to add their friends, they would be guests of the resort and not visitors. They would get a KTTW and a parking pass.

And since the guests are not resort guests, they could not use the pool at the CR either -unless the OP was able to add them to the villa as registered guests.

But all of them could go to a water park and hang out together all day long - for a fee.

Look rules are rules and they are there for people to abide by them. The pools are for registered resort guests of that hotel only. The rules are not there for people to use / bend them for their own mutual benefit. And its not ok to ask people on their board for their ok, so you can do something that OP knows is breaking the established rules.

I wasn't rude in my post, I stated the facts.

Thanks for the info, will have to pass it along to DW. Maybe we'll hit the parks with them instead.

you know you did not mention going in the pool. that is against the rules - but hanging out - out of the pool - is okay.

Really? I didn't know this and last year had met up with an old high school friend and we went to the pool. Was never even questioned or asked anything. I didn't know you couldn't have guest.

It's on the signs at the pools. They are reserved for the guests of that specific resort. If your friend isn't registered at the resort, they are not a guest of the resort. The pools aren't designed for everyone to bring extra people.

I honestly didnt see any signs (not that they werent there or anything just that I didn't take notice/remember). And if I did I see that sign I wouldnt have taken that as friends visiting me means they are not welcome. I am a guest of the hotel. So to me my guests are guests as well. I would have taken that sign to be towards people that are not staying nor are visiting someone at that hotel either not a friend stopping by for a visit.
