Visitor Toll Pass - Multi Car Question

I've used the Visitor Toll Pass a number of times and love it. All of those times I have rented and returned the car at MCO. We have a cruise coming up, coming into the area the day before the cruise and staying a day after the cruise. Its a long cruise, so its not worth keeping the car for the duration of the cruise. Going to rent at MCO and turn in at Port Canaveral, then rent from Port Canaveral and return to MCO.

Reading through various posts and also the FAQs on the Visitor Toll Pass site, it says you can switch rental cars during the time of your toll pass rental. So I would book the Visitor Toll pass for the duration of the trip, rent the car and use it for 24 hours before our cruise, return rental one at Port Canaveral, at the end of the cruise rent the new car at Port Canaveral and then return to MCO the next day.

Has anyone done anything similar? I've emailed Visitor Toll Pass and they were vague on the answer. Thanks!

IMG_7793.jpegI seem to remember on the App there is a place to enter/ change the license plate info of the car you are driving?

Yes, it’s under the FAQ on their website. I have also found their phone help to be responsive, although it’s usually a callback a little while later. Here is a screen cap.

Yes, we used the same Visitor Toll Pass for two different rental cars last year. After I returned the first car, I changed the license plate number to the number of my car back home to make sure the pass wouldn’t be used. Then I changed the plate number to match the second rental car once I had it.

Thanks that was my concern was the old rental still out there and while not tied to the toll pass still potentially being able to. Changing to a plate back home is a good idea. Thanks!

This is GREAT info…something I hadn’t even thought of!

That’s what I did! It works.
