OUr guide has always said that we should call her when we are at WDW and try to get together. Have any of you done this? I would love to meet her and thank her for such great service but I'm a little unsure about it. Should I just call her, tell her when we'll be there and let her take it from there?

We did that. We called Byron (he said the same thing like your guide) and told him when we would be down there. After we got there, he called and we found a mutually convenient time, we went over to BWV sale center while he drove over from Celebration's office. It was nice to piece the voice to a face.

When we bought over the phone, our guide asked us to please contact her when we came down for our first DVC trip. We did, they sent a shuttle over to OKW and took us over to BWV where we took the tour and chatted for a bit. It was lovely.

We had not talked to our guide for 4 years, since our original purchase. We called about an add-on this week leaving a message on his cell phone. He returned our call, leaving us a message. We were busy first thing Saturday morning and didn't reurn his call, but he called again in the afternoon. Five minutes later add-on was done. :bounce: As long as they are around when add-on-itis strikes we're happy.

We purchased into DVC about 2 years ago. We live in Florida, so we are at Disney 3 to 5 times a year. We always call our guide and most times stop and say hello. During the Hurricanes, our guide called our home and offered for us to come to safety with her family. Little did she know, Orlando was going to be in the line of fire!

We planned to meet our guide December 2003. We even made an appointment with her. CMs said she was going to be over an hour late for our appointment and needless to say we weren't going to wait around for her.

I thought it was rude but I don't feel that I'm missing out on too much by not meeting her.

We did.

We'd scheduled a FTP vacation for last October, then decided to buy into SSR site unseen. We handled everything over the phone with our wonderful Guide, Jim McCoy ( plug ), including setting up a visit. We agreed on a time and date, and he sent a big blue DVC van to pick us up at the Polynesian and take us to the BW sales office. He chatted a bit, gave us the tours of all the models and gave DW some cotton candy! Then they took us back to our hotel. Was a very nice gesture, considering that the sale was already done.

Don't know if I'd do it again, even though the sales office is now at SSR; he's a nice guy, but I don't know what we'd talk about.

DrT, Jim McCoy is our guide also, but we have never met him. We were considering touring SSR this Saturday, but are trying for a VWL add-on through TTS instead. We may still go visit SSR, but whether Jim will be there or not we don't know. He always seems nice over the phone.

Just remember that it isn't your scintillating personality that makes your guide want to spend time with you.

I stopped by the sales center at SSR to say hi to our guide Betty P. on our August trip. We were pool hopping to SSR and figured I'd say hello while there as I'd had enough sun. The DVC guides have offices at SSR now, so it's very easy to hook up if they are working. Betty "treated" me to an ice cream after a brief chat. Even though they are sales people, I find it nice to stay in touch as we visit as she was very helpful in our add-on's and when friends wanted to investigate DVC.

We tried to visit with our guide Amil Arroyo when we were at SSR in August. Walked over to the preview center, but found out he was "out of the office this week". We left him a voice mail, and were surprised when he called us later that evening, to say he was in training for the week. So, no, we didn't get to see him in person, but we did talk to him.

Amil is our guide also he is a very nice person we were there in May we had lunch with Amil and his wife we are going in 2 weeks we are planning one seeing him at SSR he is going to show us around he always returns our phone calls::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Just got back from SSR (9/19- 9/25). We bought our points over the phone from the BEST guide... Mike Brunson. We actually met him twice and saw some of the cool presentations he gives to new prospects.

I have to say that I have met many sales people in my life... and that's what I call them.. sales people.

Mike is very different....

I urge new prospects to call him... for a low pressure sales pitch... and he will do you right!!

When we were there in Sept. we were touring SSR and asked if our guide was in - she was and we got to meet her. It's nice to put a face to a name.

I had already met my guide several times before purchasing....Brandon Duke, kept in touch and was GREAT to work with. DS and myself stopped into while we were staying elsewhere at WDW and he gave us a tour. Have already recommended him to others.:) And the SSR is really nice.

Amil Arroyo is our guide. MY DW and i were at WDW in May we had lunch with Amil and his DW. We will be at WDW in 2 weeks Amil is going to show us around SSR. WE are staying at VWL. SSR is our home resort.::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo
