Visiting Washington DC in April & would appreciate any help!!

Security was very tight when we took the capitol tour. My friend had to remove her belt (got it back at the end) and we both had granola bars in our purses that we had to get rid of, there was a homeless person standing there waiting for whatever people had to get rid of so we gave him our granola bars. The guard says the guy does really well there!
