I am going to have a full day with just my 3 year old while my DH goes to the Builder's show. I want to tour some of the Resorts that day. I want to save the Parks for us to do together. We will be staying at Riverside. The first night we get there I plan to go to Chip n Dale's campfire. So other than those Resorts any suggestions?

Are there any other free activites with the Character's (like the campfire) available anywhere else?

I think your child might like playing at the beach at the Caribbean Beach Resort. There's an island in the middle of the lake where you could have a picnic. Go to Old Port Royale and buy them a kid's meal of chicken strips. They come served in a sand bucket. You could laze around in the hammocks while they play on the beach. Lisa

I'd head over to AKL and check out the animals. They have lots of activities for kids, but just walking around the resort seeing the animals is fun.

my Dd (3) loved taking the monarail to the Poly and making silky flower necklaces.(Like Hawian style ones) We then ate in Chef Mickeys at Contempory. Had a great day and didnt even go into any parks.

Some suggestions: Go to AKL and see the animals. They have a storyteller at the firepit in the evening-check the schedule. At Wilderness Lodge you can see the geyser go up and walk over the little bridge inside the lobby. There's a cute Mickey totem pole outside the gift shop where you could take a picture. POFQ has the gator figures playing instruments that are cute to see, and it's just a pretty place to walk around. Coronado Springs is beautiful, as well. The man at the surrey rides at POR will make you a balloon figure. Go to All-Star Movies just to look at the huge icons-your child would recognize and love seeing those. Walk along the Boardwalk and play games and have ice cream. Take the boat ride from POR to Downtown Disney and play at the Lego Store and go in World of Disney. Play in the sand at Poly. Ride the monorail to Contemporary and check out the arcade. They may have things a three year old can do, since they supposedly have the best arcade on the premises. There are many things to do at the resorts and DTD without ever going in a park. We love spending time resort hopping. Have fun!

Thank you so much for you ideas. I think I will print them out. We may have 3 down days and just 2 days at the Park. Because the day we fly in we will not do the Parks and not sure we will on the Day we leave. It may be more fun to Resort Hop.
