We are going to WDW in December. We are driving so will have our own car. Can we visit other resorts to see decorations and watch fireworks. Can we drive and park at the other resorts. We are staying at CSR.

Yep, this is one of our favorite things to do.
You may want to just use Disney transportation for most of the resorts.

Definitely! Make sure to see the gingerbread house at GF, as well as the decorations at BC and BW. The decorations at WL are my absolute favorite.

You can drive and park at other resorts to shop or look around, however you can't decide to go to a theme park and leave your car there. You can only park your car and leave it for longer than 3 hours at your own resort.

We did this a little each day on our 2010 trip - the monorail hotels, the Ep hotels! It's such wonderful time to visit!:cloud9:

So we can visit other resorts! No restrictions?

How about a small dive in the pool of other resorts? Restrictions like class hotel? (value hotel - can visit other values, moderate - can visit value and moderate)...

Yes, you can visit any and all resorts for shopping, dining, or just walking around, but you cannot use any of the pools other than the resort you're staying at as the pools are for guests of that particular resort.

Nope. Pools are for the exclusive use of the guests paying to stay at that resort.

I love visiting other resorts during the holidays. This is how I do it....when at MK, I walk over to the CR, check it out, then take the boat over to WL, then boat back to the CR. Monorail from CR to Polynesian, then on to the GF...then, monorail back to MK.
When at Epcot, I head out the back door (International Gateway) to BW, S/D, YC/BC.

When at AK??? I take the bus over to AKL-Jambo House and Kidani.

You can do the same thing driving your own car. Just don't plan on leaving it at a resort while you head to a park..unless you pay to valet park it.

Yeah! Great advice! I'll make sure to visit the other resorts!:cool1:

There are signs at the pool saying that the pool is for the use of that resorts' guests only. The lifeguards do occasionally check room keys. I've had to show my key at WL, BW, and YC. The only time you can use a pool other than your own is if you are staying at sister resorts (All three All Stars can share All Star pools and POFQ and PORS can share their pools).
