Has anyone had experience with going to other hotels to eat at their food court? We are staying at Pop Century but can't see us eating there everyday. I called and asked if we could go to other hotel food courts and they told me no. That I either had to have reservations (food courts dont take reservations) or that I should go to the board walk. We are trying to eat outside as much as possible. But then I've seen posts where others have taken the skyliner over to the carribean Beach resort and got food from the food court. Just wondering what others experience is. We leave the end of September.
Thanks

I've seen some reports of people showing the security guard a mobile order on their phone and getting in that way.

As long as you arrive via Disney transportation you will not have any issues visiting any open resort. If you are driving your experience may vary by resort or security gate CM.

We had no issues going to eat at other resorts' counter service, or visiting their shops, as long as we were using Disney transporation.

I'm sure the CM you spoke to just isn't really in the know and just has a general answer script.

If you are using Disney transportation its not a problem.

It's when you drive in that you'd need to verify you are staying there or have a dining reservation.

We were at WDW in the last few weeks and we ate at other resorts quick service restaurants. We used either the skyliner or bus from Disney Springs/Park to get there. It’s pretty common practice, even pre covid 19, for security at the drive up lot guard gate to not let guests into the resort without an advanced dining reservation. Now post covid, WDW is really trying to discourage resort hopping and this policy helps to ensure that. Being at POP, you can certainly hop the skyliner to the other QS restaurants but do keep in mind it may go down periodically for inclement weather.

We were there last week, and as long as you take Disney transportation, or walk, you can go to other resorts to eat. We found that it was almost a necessity to do this because the quick serve places that are open have such limited menu's, that we had to go to different resorts for a little more variety.

Thank you for all the responses. We were planning on driving our own car.. but looks like that may not be a good idea. We weren't planning on using disney transportation this time around (we usually love it) just because being in a confined space with our 1 yr who cant wear a mask makes me kind of nervous. Does anyone know if the skyliner just loads one family at a time or is it multiple families? Dont know much about the Skyliner except it tends to shut down ALOT.

During Covid 19,only one Family per Gondola.

Skyliner is AMAZINGLY fun,but is subject to weather shutdowns(Summer lightning storms mainly)-in January we took 26 flights on all 3 lines without ANY stoppages and Skyliner was never down during our entire Vacation..
