We are going to Disney in August and spending a day at IOA to visit Harry Potter World. We were thinking about having dinner at Margaritaville at Citywalk before either returning to our Disney Hotel or going back to IOA depending on what we get done during the day. Is this easy enough to do? Is it walking distance, or do they have buses like Disney does to DTD?

Since we are driving to Universal, will parking be central to everything, or is there transportation? We don't mind walking, just need to make sure we bring a stroller and not rent one at the park!

Thanks so much!

This is very easy to do. Magaritaville is only a few minutes walk from the front gate of IOA. You'll walk by it as you enter the park.

There are moving sidewalks along the walkway from the parking structures. It's a few minutes walk from the parking structure to citywalk, and then a few minutes more through Citywalk to get to the front gate of Islands of Adventure--I'd guess between 8-12 minutes depending on how fast you walk.

Once you leave your car, everything is walkable. Citywalk and both parks are all very close to each other

Very Easy! You will walk right by there to get to or get from IOA! I always walk by the Margaritaville Lone Palm bar thinking "I should stop and get a margarita."

If you trip while leaving IOA, you might land right on the front porch of Margaritaville, thats how close it is.:lmao:

I don't know how busy August will be but you could always stop by the reservation kiosk and make reservations for dinner or use opentable.com :thumbsup2

So the reverse is true as well, then? :rotfl2: If I have one too many Margaritas at Margaritaville, I can trip and stumble back into IOA? :woohoo::woohoo:

Haha! Kidding, I will be with my kiddies. :)

Thanks for the information everyone! This sounds like it will work perfectly.

Just make sure you don't fall off the bridge getting back to IOA.

If you do, it's your own damn fault. ;)

OP, picture a triangle standing on point. Citywalk is the inside of the triangle and the parking garages would be at the bottom. The entrances to the parks are at the other two points of the triangle.

It's not precise but close enough. You can easily walk anywhere in the Universal resort area.
