We will be in DL from September 6th till the 10th, I realize this is before the start of Halloween, does this mean the parks should be fairly quiet ( well as quiet as they can be ). Just trying to sort out our visit. Thanks for your help.

You’ve picked one of the slowest weeks of the year to visit. It’s the week most all schools in the US are back in session. One of the popular planning sites has crowed levels at 1-2 over the entire week. We will be there the weekend of the 5-7th and hope all of these low crowd predictions are true! Still need to go with a good plan, but less stress over huge crowds.

That might indeed be a slow week(we've visited the first week in Sept., but not the second), however, I would absolutely not plan on crowds being a "1" or a "2"!

I cannot remember the time when crowds were that low---it's been several years, at least!

Also, the sites which "predict" crowd levels at Disneyland are often extremely unreliable---so just be prepared---you might experience something completely different than a "1" or a "2"!:)

My instinctive answer is that the parks should be fairly manageable, especially on the weekdays. At this point, the best guess is that HallowwenTime won't start unto Friday the 12th. I would expect high crowds that weekend due to HalloweenTime (and Dapper Days), but prior to that, my guess is that it won't be as at because some Halloween won't be in full swing (i.e., HM will still be closed, Big thunder Carnival won't be open, and Space will be down (from probably Monday, the 8th)). I agee that the most popular rides will still have lines and wouldn't expect to walk on to many rides, but I also wouldn't expect super long lines for all rides.

When you say closed from the 8th do you mean it will close down on the 8th? Do you think it will reopen by the 13th for the Halloween time (HM and Space Mountain)

I'm thinking of going on the 15th (monday) till thursday. I'm trying to be sure HM and Space Mountain are open but I want to benefits of low crowds this month.

Space usually closes the Monday before HalloweenTime starts (assuming it starts on a Friday). So, yes, I think it'll be closed on Monday the 8th, assuming HalloweenTime starts on Friday the 12th.
