Visiting in July.

Normally we would visit in the Easter hols, but exams mean that next year we are restricted to around 9th July for three weeks.We want to stay on site but are worried about
1. The weather in July and
2. The crowds - is it much busier than Easter?

Would welcome your honest opinions. Perhaps it would be best to leave it and go at Easter the following year?

I can't compare July to Easter as I've never been at Easter - but I can tell you a bit about July. Been twice in July - and I would have no problems going back in July. Yes it is hot, humid and crowded - but if you plan your days to make use of early entry, make use of fastpass, drink plenty fluids, pace yourself and the others in your group, take breaks from the parks when it get's really hot in the mid afternoon - then it's not so bad. Don't forget the sunscreen either!!!

Last year we hit the parks as early as possible - and quite often left by noon - because of the heat. It can be quite unbearable at times - but there are plenty of places around the parks to cool down - shops, indoor attractions - even the loo!!

If you look back a little, there are a couple of threads about this. Entitled ' Is it really that bad in July' and 'Tell me about July'. (sorry but I don't know how to link you to the threads.

Anyway, as I've said before we usually go in July (this year mid August) and we love it. It is very hot and busy but if you research well on these boards and are prepared for it you'll love it. We'll be in the same boat next year with SATS and GCE'S so no half term or easter hols for us!!!
