Visiting Disney hotels while staying at universal

Will be staying at Universal Orlando resort and will only be visiting Universal Studios and Islands of adventure. Since I will have a rental car at some point, I wanted to be able to see some of the Disney hotels and possibly see the Disney electrical water pageant. Without dining reservations, will I be allowed to park at a Disney hotel? Any suggestions or tips of how I can go about parking at the hotel for a few hours in the evening? Or how to visit the hotels? I thought about traveling from Disney springs on a bus, but I figured out it would be a long bus ride or worse no return trips at night from the hotel to Disney springs.

As it stands right now, you need an ADR to park at a resort hotel...especially those on the 7 Seas Lagoon and Crescent Lake. While some gate attendants might wave you through, they have gotten stricter about this since Disney began charging resort guests to park their cars overnight. It has only gotten more difficult after they reopened last July.

My advice is to pay to park at one of the theme park lots which is close to the resort you wish to visit and then walk, boat, Skyliner or monorail to that resort.
