Visiting CBR?

We're staying off-site next trip but I want to drive to CBR and mail a coconut from their gift shop.

Last time we stayed at POFQ and my parents were at CBR. The guard made us show our resort KTTW card for POFQ before he'd let us drive in to pick them up. Will we have problems going in since we're off-site this time? I'm thinking they'll think we want to park free and use the buses all day, which is not the case.

No, just tell them you are there to eat and shop. Disney is always fine with people coming in to spend money! Sometimes the resorts that are attached to parks and have popular restaurants will have stricter rules about non guests parking, but at CBR you should have no trouble.
