Is there an easy way to stop in quick to see the Be Our Guest restaurant? I have made lunch plans elsewhere, but the kids really wanted to see inside BOG....

Nope they stop everyone at the bridge. And only people eating there my cross.

Is it possible to go in for just dessert? If so, can this be done during dinner time as well as lunch? I thought I read where someone only went for dessert, but now I'm not sure.

You can try a walk up. But I wouldn't count on it. there is no such thing as "Just desert" at WDW. You can go to a WDW restaurant and only order desert but they don't make special provisions for it.

If you want/need to go you have two options, wait 30ish minutes in line to grab lunch there (even if it's just a coke and a desert) or get an ADR for dinner (even if it's just desert you want.)

What's going on with the BOG lunch FP? Is it still available? Invitation only? Is it even necessary anymore? On a crowd level 4 day, what would the stand by line be like?

They still have the FP for BOG lunch. It is only for guests that are staying onsite. They tell you at the podium that it is invitation only, but I think people have been getting it through the link only, as long as they have the onsite reservation.

I don't know if it is necessary or not as I have only eaten there with either a FP or a ressie. I know the chances of a dinner walk up are next to nothing (and they will tell you that it books at 180 days). For lunch you are still able to walk up, as long as they are taking walk up guests (they didn't seem to be the other day when I was there, but I don't know if they had taken any earlier in the day, as we got there at about 1:45 during our FP window)

I am staying onsite and I never got an invitation and when I went to the BOG fastpass website, my conformation code didn't work because it has numbers and letters! Am I doing something wrong?

Numbers and letters doesn't sound like a Disney Conf # did you book it though a 3rd party?

your conf # from disney should be a 6-7 digit number starting with 4 now I think ...

Mine has numbers and letters as well. So I can't get one either :( I think it has something to do with the deal I used, I have the free dining deal.

This information is from the WDW Prepschool website
http://wdwprepschool.com/how-to-get-lunch-and-dinner-reservations-at-be-our-guest-restaurant/

However, Disney is currently testing a FastPass+ option at Be Our Guest that will allow you to make a reservation and skip the line.

This does NOT count as 1 of your allotted 3 FastPass+ reservations per day and is totally separate from that.

This only works for people who are staying on-site. Off-site guests or those without a FastPass+ reservation should plan to line up at the times I listed above to avoid lines.

Here’s some info about how to do that: Disney will tell you that this is by invitation only and indeed, they email a lot of people a few weeks before their trip to invite them but that doesn’t mean this won’t work as well. However, do NOT call or do an online chat with Disney because they will tell you their official line (“it’s just a test and you can’t book it ahead of time”) and will not help you at all.

You can book the reservation by visiting https://beourguestlunch.disney.go.com/

That link may ask you for a 12-digit numeric confirmation number, not the shorter alphanumeric confirmation number that you can probably find easily. Here are a few ways to find the 12 digit number:

If you booked a room-only reservation, the number is likely shown at https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/trip/my-vacation/

If you booked a package and you have less than 60 days before your trip, go to https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/trip/my-vacation/ and hover over the “check in online” link but DON’T click it. See the URL that it points to and the last 12 digits should be your confirmation number.

On Magical Express luggage tags that are mailed to you

As part of your Memory Maker package info

Your reservation will NOT show up in your My Disney Experience account with all of your other reservations so write down the info or take a screenshot so you have it for later. You can usually book this about 3-4 weeks before your trip begins.

We ate at BOG for lunch yesterday. I had booked the FP online. We arrived at 1:00 and they were handing out the paper "fast pass" cards with return times to walk-ups.

We did not pre-order our meals and after checking in waited about 20 minutes to order our food.

A month or two ago I tried using the website that the dining service told me over the phone, but because my confirmation number was alpha-numeric it would not accept it. When I called dining back they were clueless. I saw the post on WDW prep but hovering over that spot did nothing and I still could not find a numerical confirmation number.

Fast forward, last week I got the invitation email from Disney destinations and in the booking instructions it says "enter your resort reservation number ******" and that number is included in the email! I had no problem reserving our FP for BOG using the link and rez # included in the email, and we go in two weeks!

So, don't lose heart - if you can't book it using the tips on WDW prep, just keep your eyes peeled for that email and you should have no prob :)

I'm pretty sure room only reservations are numbers only, packages are alphanumeric.

If you have a package, go into your "Cards and Magic Band" page on MDE and copy the number that appears below your Magic Band. That should be the confirmation number you put into the BOG lunch Web site instead of your package confirmation number.

We were able to snag two BOG dinner ADR's for our trip last June b/c I didn't know when we would be able to get our dessert party ADR at the time. I ended up giving the one to my brother and his wife's family and took the later one and just had drinks and dessert with the kids(the menu wasn't super appealing). It was a very magical and amazing experience. If you can snag a later ADR it is worth it to do this. I think we will do the same on our next trip. It also gave my kids a little sugar high to keep them going a little longer:hyper:;) There is no limit to what you order at any CS or TS restaurant so doing that at lunch is fine, but we loved being able to meet Beast!

I just followed the link in one of the posts above and was able to book a fp for Be Our Guest for lunch. However, I noticed that I did not receive a confirmation number or anything? So I'm not sure if I really have a fastpass or not. I guess I'll check My Disney Experience account, but that's so glitchy that it's not a credible source. :confused3

The BOG lunch FP+ will not show in your MDE account at all. However, if you log on to the BOG site and click View your reservation, it should be there. I took a screenshot of it just in case there is no connection when I check in to prove my reservation. It is there every time I log on to the site. I even modified and changed to another date. I pre-ordered my meal to see if it is still there when I check in.

Hope this helps! Have fun planning!!

Just a warning- the preordering of meals is very glitchy. Sometimes it is there when you get there, sometimes not (and they know it only works some of the time).

I finally found my 12 digit reservation number, not the confirmation number that has letters in it. I read on another post that it's in the page source. I also read the part about hovering over the check in or clicking it. I right clicked, copied the link and pasted it in a doc and my res number was there as well.

OP - They had been letting people tour inside early in the day (BEFORE it was open), but I don't know if they are still doing that. It wouldn't hurt to ask.

What we did on our last trip as we wanted to peek inside but had lunch ADR's elsewhere was this: We joined the lunch line on the bridge. When we went, the line was just at the end of the bridge and it took about 15 minutes to get inside. Once inside, we just stepped over the ropes (instead of going to the ordering kiosks) and walked around looking and taking pictures. We had contemplated buying some cupcakes, but just weren't that hungry. The CM's were fine with it, but we did have to wait in the initial line. I just looked at like waiting for an attraction. It was beautiful inside!

We're excited to try dinner on our upcoming trip.:)
