visiting AKL

Is it true that you can go to AKL just to view the animals if you use WDW transportation?

Well technically you can. I doubt anyone will check for resort ID. We were never asked for it when we stayed there. If you had a dinner reservation then you would be there anyway. There is no restricted access to the savannah overlooks (at leats, there wan't last Dec.). I know in the past it was said that they checked for resort ID but I don't think that happens as much now. If you are a WDW resort guest then I wouldn't see any sort of problem at all.

We just got back from staying at AKL and not once were we asked for our Resort ID's...Personally, I wouldn't see a problem of just going to the resort to look around...Seriously, if I hadn't gone to look at it first, I might never had stayed there...DH decided while we were there to make ressies for a couple of nights right then! LOL

Have fun if you decide to go over...it is a beautiful resort!

Thanks for the replies! We'd be staying at BCV. I think we might try one of the restuarants just to be safe. We weren't going to stay for hours, just wanted a peek to see if it might be worth that many DVC points someday.
