Visiting AKL questions

Hi
we have a 1 night pre cruise stay planned for Pop Century. Wondering if it might be possible to have a little tour of the Animal Kingdom lodge either the afternoon of our stay or in the morning before our cruise. Is it possible to just head there and get in to view the property? We have a rental car so will probably use that for our transport. Which would be the better time to go and any hints of any secret places to go on property to possibly see more of the animal life there.

Yes you will be able to visit AKL. It is a beautiful resort and our favorite. I would go early in the day or in the evening. If I remember correctly the animals are not out as much in the middle of the afternoon.
