Visit time question - I'm a DISer after all :)

I can't believe I am asking this - since I consider myself a Disneyland vet... but, I am thinking about taking a quick long weekend trip before school starts.

As a devout DISer - I don't go to Disneyland during the busy months, so I am a fish out of H2O here. In fact, we use to go during Christmas time during the early 2000s - once the crowds started picking up, we switched to Oct.

So my question is, what would be better in terms of lighter attendance Sat Aug 6th - Mon Aug 8th or Fri Aug 12th – Sunday Aug 14th?

I see that Aug 6th is an Deluxe Blackout date and all of the dates are Southern California Annual pass and Select Annual pass blackout dates.

That makes me think the Aug 6th-8th might be slightly better – because the other choice would be the first Saturday avail to Deluxe in a while.

Okay – I am probably over thinking things.

The number of Delux passholders is tiny compared to the mass of SoCal APs that are blocked.

While it will be busy it won't be crazy. And of the two periods I'd choose the first. Going on a Monday will be better than a Friday, and entertainment and hours are the same anyway.

I see no difference between the two really. I would lean slightly to going on a Monday over a Friday. I agree with Ski that the DAP blockout is a non-issue.

I agree, that way your last day would be the day with the shortest lines
