folrida here i come next saturday...

I too would be interested to know how you have managed to complete the forms before you go. I find them such a bind on the flight - I want to forget form filling, I do enough of that at work!

Hi - I have just posted on the other thread LOL! You can obtain the forms from any flight desk (that's open!!) which have flights going to USA in the airport.

Alison is right - you are supposed to write:
UK ...........for Country Of Citizenship
and
UK......... for no. 8 - Country Where You Live ( the video they showed us on the aircraft said you should not write England etc.)

We complete these in the departure lounge as there's so much time to sit and write them out - be sure to have the FULL address of where you'll be staying - if you are moving around, just use the first address.

First time we had to fill them in (read that as I had to!), we had such a bossy flight attendant and she put the fear of God up everyone with her "don't make a SINGLE mistake or else Immigration will chuck you out" rantings. I swear my writing was appalling that day where I was shaking so much;) Not only that, but we had the MIL with us and guess whose form I got the numbers wrong on . . . yep:rolleyes: Had to dash off to the immigration hall to collect a new form since the plane had run out.

This year it doesn't phase me at all . . . travelling to Hong Kong and the Philippines last year has me in no fear of ANY immigration any more:p Only problem is this year, with all the form filling in HK/Philippines last year when we travelled around, I got to know our passport numbers off by heart, but now DD has had to renew her passport she's got a new number.

Hmmmm, perhaps I'd better start practising on little bits of white and green paper, just in case . . . .:D

Yes, you can get your forms at any flight desk going to the USA, but how did you get your forms before going to the airport?

I've always put Great Britain for country of citizenship as that's what's on my passport.

They're obviously not as fussy as we might think, we even got a cheerful immigration officer when we arrived this August!!

I've had England crossed out by an officer, and replaced with UK - but he was quite cheerful about it. Well, he didn't send me to the back of the line anyhow!
