I read somewhere about a meet-n-greet at EPCOT Innovations West for Disney Visa cardholders. Has anyone done this and how crowded is it? The CM at reservations didn't know anything about it, she gave me Chase Visa website but that didn't have any info either.

Hello,

I did this last December. We had to wait about 20 minutes, not too bad of a wait. They do require you to have your credit card with you and I believe it is up to 6 people in the photo.

It took all of 30 seconds (they get you in and out quickly). The photo came out great. If you want to see some of my Disney photos, click here: Disney Meet and Greet

The first photo on the left is the one from the meet and greet!

We did it 3 weeks ago and there wasn't anyone waiting. Just showed the card and in we went. We were there about 5 minutes. It took much longer to get our pictures! That place was pretty crowded. Just remember to get your free picture you have to get it that day.

Wasn't this replacing the character bus? What characters are there? Where is it located? We go at the end of August so I would like to take advantage of this. Thanks for any info. :)

No this is not what replaced the Character Bus. There is some other character meet and greet for that.

This is an exclusive '50th Celebration' benefit for Visa card holders only. It ends in September.

It's at Innovations West near the fire truck. You will see a sign and a CM there helping the Visa guests.

It goes daily from 1:00p to 4:00p and the characters vary. You will not know whose in there till you get in there. It's a private room. You get private time with them and a Photopass photographer.

I've done it twice and both times there was Minnie and Goofy.

Again, make sure you pick up your free photo BEFORE you leave Epcot for the day or you will NOT get your free photo.

Our Visa Meet & Greet photo is in my sig line.

There was no line when we went. Minnie & Goofy were there, and they danced with the kids for a few minutes. Then we posed for pictures.

I thought that I could order my free 5x7 on the net, but I was wrong. You have to pick up your picture that day in person at Epcot. I had to pay for the pictures, but we really like the photos and we had a great time with the Meet & Greet. Make sure you pick up your picture before you leave Epcot!

My DH and I have gone 6-7 times now, wwe have had Mickey and Pluto, Minnie and Goofy, and Donald and Goofy during our different times. They never know which characters are in their but I think it is always Mickey and the gang characters. We find it is great and always get our picture on the way out. The CM letting us in has always let us know to stop and get the pictures. I have never waited more than 10 minutes.

The last time I was there we actually had 7 of us and they didn't say anything about us going in with too many people. We had a great experience. It was me and a group of highschool and college students. Mickey and Pluto were there and one of the college students had this stuffed mickey that we had been trying to hide from him all day. When we got in he showed it to Mickey and Mickey put it under his vest. He didn't realize Mickey still had it until we began getting our things together. Mickey looked sad about giving it back and teased the college student about wanting to keep it. It was a fantastic experience.

I went on 3/19. I waited about 10 minutes then went in with Goofy. They took pictures with my camera as well as with Photopass. Picked out my picture and had it sent it my hotel. It was good fun.
Also re Disney Visa-I was able to use my visa discount at World of Disney but pay in Disney Dollars.

I thought this was just a one-time-offer. Can you go in more than once? We went in July, gave them our Visa card number, and had the most adorable picture taken. (I didn't know what would be behind the curtain--we thought we'd be standing by cutouts of characters or something. When I saw Mickey and Pluto "for real", I let out a squeal! I reverted to being a kid all over again.) We're going again next week, and I'd love to take advantage of this again if that's allowed...

I believe the only limit is once per day!

Confused :confused3 Do you get a 5x7 for free and pay for additionals?
Could someone clear that up for me?

Yes...you get to choose one free 5x7. Any additional photos cost extra. They are included on your Photopass....so you can order the extras later. The FREE 5x7 must be picked up at the park before you leave. HTH! :)

Thanks for the info! We will be going down in a week and have the Disney Visa. Great to know! Can't wait to go!

Is this only available in Epcot. We will be heading down Easter week and want to take advantage of the photo. We are planning on two days in Epcot so will we be able to get two pictures. One for each day?

Thanks for any info.

Linda

We were told it is once per day.

When we went around 3:00 there was no wait. We walked in to find Mickey and Pluto posing as if they weren't "real". So our kiddos went over to check them out and Mickey and Pluto grabbed them and started playing. They spend a good 10 minutes with our kids, playing peek a boo with the baby, "stealing" hats, etc. There were 2 CM's there taking pictures. I love the pics because they took alot of candid shots instead of the traditional "posed" ones.

It was so much fun! I assume we had so much time with the characters because no one else was waiting at that time.

Yes, at Disneyworld it is only at Epcot in Innoventions on the side closer to Soarin'. You can get 1 picture per day per card. The first time they went they gave DH and I each a pass for the free picture. We have gotten one each time since then.

Any chance they'll do something like that in October?

I doubt it but you never know. It was a special Visa perk only for the 50th Celebration (which is ending soon) and it's only suppose to go on till September 2006.
