I noticed that I can pay my Disney Visa bill online by linking it to my checking account.

Does anyone do this? Is it really safe?

No Disney Visa card here, but I do use Quicken and do pay most bills online. Yes, safe.

No disney visa here - but I've paid my Capital One Mastercard bill online for the past 4 or 5 years and NEVER had a problem.

I pay all of my bills online. If the biller doesn't offer online bill-pay, I just use my bank's online bill payer instead.

I do pay my Disney Visa online. Other than super-slow connections at times, no problems whatsoever.

I've paid bills online exclusively for at least 4 years now, never had a single problem with it.

I pay my Disney and BP Visa bills online every month. No problem as long as there's enough money in your checking account to cover the payment. Not that I would have any experience with that. :earseek:

Hmm...maybe I should enter the 21st century and pay bills online. And Towncrier, I know all about not having enough money in the account. That's why I never can have an auto-pay. We're always working on the float here....

We pay most of our bills online for the past 4 or 5 years. We write very few checks nowadays.

I pay my Disney visa online all the time, no problems here!

I pay my Mastercard bill online through my checking account, I hate writing checks. Haven't had a problem yet.

We pay all of our bills, including the Disney Visa, online.

I once heard a financial advisor say that you should pay all credit card bills online. Apparently credit card companies can be less than honest, and they'll hold your check until past the due date so that you have to pay late fees and they can raise your rates. When you pay online, you tell it exactly when you want the money drafted out of your account.

Pembo - I consider myself the "Noah" of the float crowd.

I used to use a service called CheckFree (in the mid 1980's) to pay all my bills online. I discontinued the service because they started messing up my car payment. And it cost me $10 a month to use their service.

Now that the 21st century has arrived, a lot of companies provide a means to pay online (like Visa). I don't use nearly as many checks or stamps as I used to.

My advice about paying online. Try it. You'll like it.

I've used online bill paying for pretty much everything, from mortgage, car, credit cards, utilities. The only utility payment that doesn't go online is the water bill.

The cool thing about paying TimeWarner Cable bill is that I can pay by credit card. So, I use my rewards card to pay my bill and get rewards out of it! Very nice.

I do. In fact, I have it set up to pay all the bills on-line.:D I have never had any problems. :D

Pembo,

I pay our Disney Visa online. It takes 2-3 days for the transaction to go through so be careful with your floating so that you won't have to pay a late fee. I haven't had any problems. I am slowly moving in the direction of paying all bills online. I use my Disney Visa for all purchases so that I can get reward dollars. I hardly use my debit card or write checks anymore.

I have a VISA issued by my credit union - same place I have my checking account. I just transfer money from checking to VISA every month.

I can also see all charges online as soon as they are posted to my VISA account. I can even see holds on my VISA. :p

"Noah" of the Float - I love that! I worked for a bank a long time ago and learned all about the wonders of the float.

I'm using our Disney Visa for all of my "debit" card charges. I'm writing them in the checkbook. I figure I can rack up some rewards that way. It would be nice to pay it quickly.

Another vote for "Paying Online". I have been paying my Disney Visa and American Express that way for a couple of years now and would never want to go back to snail-mail and wondering if the payment made it on time. ::yes::

I've paid most of our bills online now for year. Now the only checks I ever really write are donations to Church and deposits to the kid's lunch accounts.

I've had a few problems, but if I remember correctly I used to have many more problems with checks lost in the mail, checks not posting for the right amounts, forgetting to mail checks in time for them to reach their destination by the due date -- and a whole host of other problems.

:p
