visa deal clarification???

Okay...I'm really not trying to beat this subject to death. I just didn't know which thread to put my question into where it would not get lost. I'm just so confused over the details of this thing.

I received an offer to get the Disney Visa in today's mail...but no offer for the dream maker package. The only perk I was offered was a free DVD or $15 Disney dollars. BIG WOW (not!) I'm willing to sign up for the card IF I can get the deal, however, if you have to be offered the deal in the mailer, then I won't be eligible. So...is this really open to all NEW card members? I'm sure I'm not the only one out here who has received this card offer but not the package deal offer. Any insight?

Wait 10 days and I'll let you know if I get it. I didn't get a mailed application to me so I guess that would be a good indication if I get the offer with my new card. It's open till 3/31 so there would still be time with bookings by the end of April according to what's been posted on the board.

All I know is Bank One told me it's ONLY for new applications with the specific mailer code. No one else can get it - at least that's how they said it's supposed to be working.

I got the same application you did and customer service told me we would qualify for the package if our card is approved. I'm not entirely convinced most customer service know what they are talking about, but we decided to open the account and take a chance.

I got the same mailing, got excited when I saw the envelope, and then no mention of the package inside!

I just recieved the following response from Bank One:

The offer you refer to is only available to a limited number of individuals who
received this credit card acquisition offer in the mail, apply for and receive
approval for the Disney's Visa® credit card. Because the offer is intended as an
acquisition incentive specific to that mailing, we are not able to extend it to
existing Disney's Visa® cardmembers or to individuals applying for the card
under other promotions.

Please continue to watch your Disney's Visa® statement inserts and your Disney's
Visa® website -- www.bankone.com/disney for cardmember-exclusive offers.

...so based on that response I would say you are not eligible unless you recieved the specific offer. Hope this helps.

I am not arguing with the above post. There is still mis-information going on.

I called Bank One again. I now have their 1-800 number memorized.

They pulled up my account and she said based on my approval date I qualify. Same answer from two different people.

I don't know why, but I got both offers. Last week I got the credit card offfer with the Disney offer for the trip, which I've decided not to use, and yesterday I got the offer for the free dvd. The first offer was mailed directly to me and yesterday's offer was made to my family.
I've been planning a 5 day trip because my 17 yr old has a girlfriend that he doesn't want to leave. He really doesn't want to come this time. I figured it will be the last time he will. So this is my shortest trip ever, and I really hate to lose out on this deal. We do plan on spending 2 days at Universal though, so unlimited tickets really aren't necessary. Great deal though.

I have talked with BankOne several times over the last few days. They keep telling me that the offer is for ALL new card members who apply and are approved between Feb. 5 and Feb. 29. I applied for a second card (that they told me I can promptly cancel) based on the CM's suggestion so that if approved I would get the offer. I specifically asked if ALL new cardmembers are eligible and have been told yes several times. Crossing my fingers and hoping! Wish they would figure it out so that the correct information could be posted somewhere...seems like we are all getting different answers.

I also talked with someone yesterday at Bank One. She got her supervisor & he confirmed that it was for new cardholders who put the package on their new card. So I went ahead & applied after receiving this confirmation.

I received the a mailing and called today to enroll. I got the DVD/15 gift card offer, not the flyer about the 7 for 4.

The rep on the phone did not know anything about any packages she suggested I go to Disney website or wait until I get the paperwork with my card. I just laughed silently in my head at her "go to Disney website comment" and will start asking questions when I actually have a card.

Another vote for no specific offer for the package, but plan to try and I'll let you know when I get my card.
