Would a prepaid visa card work for the discount? I really don't like a traditional card.
Another question: do you have to purchase tickets even if you have an AP?

A prepaid card will not work. You need to have the Disney Visa card from Chase. It is a traditional card.
To get a package you do need to buy at least a one day park ticket.
