I use my debit card with mc logo all the time and MCO is one of the places that you can use it. As stated, you will need proof of a round trip ticket.

Debit Cards
Debit and check cards may only be used in conjunction with proof of a round trip travel ticket (airline, cruise ship and the like).
A Debit/Check Card is considered to be any non-credit card bearing the Visa or MasterCard logo. Any other non-credit card without the Visa or MasterCard logo is not accepted.
For pick-ups in the United States and Canada, without proof of roundtrip ticket, debit or check cards are only accepted on return. A Credit Card in the name of the renter must be presented at the time of pick-up.
For pick-ups at European locations, debit cards must have the Visa or Mastercard logo on them and will be accepted under the same terms as our Credit Card policy.
Debit Cards are not currently accepted at following locations:

Kalamazoo, MI - In addition to the general Debit Card policy, this location requires that the renter's debit card will authorize at least $150 over the estimated rental charges.
Durango (Camino Del Rio), CO, Durango (Strater Hotel), CO, Durango (Airport), CO - In addition to the general Debit Card policy, these locations require customer to accept the LDW coverage package to rent on a Debit Card.
Santa Monica, CA, Columbus, IN, Muncie, IN - In addition to the general Debit Card policy, these locations require proof of full auto insurance coverage to rent on a Debit Card.
