There is an email going around that sends itself to all the people in your Outlook contact list. Symantec calls it "Friendgreet," but it doesn't classify it as a virus. Trend Micro considers it a virus because of the way it spreads itself. The National Infrastructure Protection Center calls it "Cytron."

Friendgreet comes to you as an email greeting card. When you click on the link in the email, an installer runs, asking you if it's OK to install software. If you click OK, the email will send itself to everyone in your Otulook contact list. If you click No, nothing will happen

Anyway, I just thought I'd let everyone know about this since it could affect a lot of people. Here's a link to learn more about it. It's definatly something you don't want to get.

Thanks for the warning.

Okay, I was just reading more about it. This sucker is tricky! It basicly "spies" on you and if you do any kind of search or go to any kind of webpage that has any kind of sexual related words in it, it'll flood your computer with "adult content" pop-up ads.

In tests by SecurityFocus, browsing a USA Today story about the constitutionality of Internet porn spawned a window promoting the gay men's adult site "Tyler's Room," complete with thumbnail teaser photos

Now that is scary! Be sure to warn your kids about it too because I know my little cousin LOVES sending and recieving e-greetings.

Thanks for the heads up..
