Okay, first of all, thank goodness for Norton Antivirus.
Last night I was replying to a thread on the DIS and opened a second IE window to search for something on the net. Instead of opening on the default home page, IE opens on some music web site called mp3hi-fi.com or something like that. Not only do I get hit with pop-up after pop-up faster than I can close them, but I get a virus warning. Norton couldn't delete it but did quarantine it. I think it's gone because I ended up going in and clearing the cookies, temp internet files, history, etc.
The Norton record says it was the JS.Exception.Exploit virus. Anyone heard of this virus? There's an article in today's paper about computer viruses but this one isn't mentioned.
