Well since it looks like it'll be a whole 'nuther year before I can even think about planning a visit, I thought we could stave off the Disney withdrawal by describing what each of us would call the "perfect visit" to the World. Now granted I am well aware that just about ANY trip to WDW would be perfect even if it rained and turned unseasonably cold and Space Mountain broke down and I had to (God forbid) stay off-site, but let's play anyway! I'll start...

We fly into Orlando early on a Sunday morning (say arriving around 8am). The excitement starts to build as we walk through the terminal, catching a ride on the airport monorail to baggage claim. Through the windows of the speedy little train I catch glimpses....my first of the trip...of palm trees! I can feel that tingle in my toes. The tingling is like a homing beacon for all things Disney. The tingle moves to my ankles when I drag Mr. Jennasis into the Disney Store right there in the airport! Luckily he's as giddy as I am and shoos me out of the store and down the escalator to baggage claim. Again we find ourselves rubbing elbows with the new friends we've made on the plane, and continue sharing park tips and ride recommendations..."Hey your staying at the Polynesian? Cool. My sister loved it!" or "Make SURE you go to the second viewing of the parade if you can." We wave goodbye to our "buddies" and head out to catch our hotel transport. Thanks to the DIS we are no longer slaves to the Mears system! We decided to go with the Towncar service and they are waiting for us right in front of the terminal with the trunk open and ready! We load up and head out of the airport...

My face is pressed up against the window of the car watching the palmtrees slip past. I excitedly point out EACH of the billboards along the highway that let you know you are getting close. I even make sure Mr. Jennasis sees the US ones, as we are planning to spend a day there. The driver asks us if we've ever been to Disney before. "Of Course!!!" and we laugh. "Have you ever stayed at the Beach Club?" he adds, noting our destination. Mr. J and I exchange grins the size of Texas...."No. It's our first time there." He laughs and assures us that we won't be disappointed. That's when I see the first one....and I am home again:

Those wonderful....beautiful...magical, Disney ROAD SIGNS!! Those purple mickey eared markers that are exclusive to my favorite place in the worled. When I see them, the tingle moves rapidly from ankles to my knees. Thank God am sitting! When I can see Spaceship Earth looming nearby as we approach our hotel I all but swoon! Mr. Jennasis is practically bouncing in his seat like a 3 year old as the facade of the Beach Club rolls into view. It is spectacular! More than we could ever have imagined. As the tingles move from my knees to my butt, I wonder how I will be able to get out of the car and walk into the lobby?

The driver helps get the bags out of the car as I step out into the Florida morning...it's gorgeous. Sunny blue skies with a few puffy clouds. Temps are in the mid 70's and will probably climb into the mod 80's. A bellhop ushers us into the hotel lobby as we thank the driver (and tip generously of course!) and directs us to the front desk. Thank GOD there is a bit of a line! Now we may be the only weirdos that like lines (not long ones), but it helps build the excitement AND in this case allows us extra time to absorb the atmosphere of the most beautiful lobby I've ever seen (And I've stayed at the Ritz Carlton!). Mr. Jennasis is overjoyed taking in the details and keeps calling me back to him as I wander ever closer to the doors to the pool area and outside. I promised we could explore the hotel together. Finally it's our turn to check in! Our room isn't ready :( ....but how would you like an upgrade to water/Epcot view? :Pinkbounc WOULD WE??? The tingle is now in the small of my back as we check our bags and get our park tickets. We are told to check around 3pm for our room and plan to come back. But for now, the Magic Kingdom calls!

At the bus stop, we can barely sit (must be that tingle in my butt acting up again...). Each time a bus rolls by we jump up excitedly trying to see if it is heading to the Kingdom. After 5 minutes a MK bus rolls in and we load up with a half dozen or so other vacationers. Mr. Jennasis and I take this time to review our game plan, check our cameras andsynchronize our watches. As we pass under the MK arch, a feeling of euphoria sets in, heightened by the passing of a monorail nearby and a quick glimpse of the Contemporary. As the bus rolls to a stop infront of the kingdom I am thankfull that we sat in the front row, because I would've mowed down anyone in front of me as I fly off the bus. Mr. Jennasis grabs my hand, settling my child-like nerves as we head for the gate. I remind him that we must remember to find our brick later on. The tingle moves up to my hips....We hand our passes to the attendant who runs them through and ushers us in. I can already see vendors selling mylar mickey-head balloons and moms pushing rented strollers. It makes me giddy, as does the whistle of the WDWRR up above us. We begin the walk under the RR tunnel, pausing to admire the ride posters on the wall (My favorite is the poster for the Haunted Mansion). I* can see that golden light at the end of the tunnel beckoning to us. AS we emerge from the tunnel, the musical strains of "When you Wish Upon A Star" washes through my ears and I see her....the castle at the end of main street, practically waving to me! I am overwhelmed. The tingle shoots like lightening up my spine and right to my brain! My eyes fill with tears as I hug Mr. Jennasis and tell him...

"Thanks for taking me home"
