My intention was to do 10K but my shoes are too old and my back and knees kill me when I finish my runs. I decided that I would do 5K and had my first DNF. I got .6 from my house and turned around. I ended up doing 2 miles this morning. Went to buy shoes today and my shoe store did not have one pair of motion control shoes that fit. They are on order.

(this just seemed like the perfect smiley for today!)
I think it's just that I have my mental place I go to (with no music or anything) when I run, and when I walk it's just completely different - I haven't figured out how to do it and not be bored. But with my training for my half marathon starting in a week, I'm sure I'll get there!

and making our training for the day more enjoyable.
