Virtual Stateroom Tour

this is a great thread-thanks to everyone that posted pictures.

We just were offered 8046 on our Dec 28th wonder cruise--where do they put the chair in the bedroom when the murphy bed is open?

With what everyone says is such a big difference in the 2 types of cat 3s-why are they the same price?

This is a GREAT thread! Thanks to those who have submitted them! Anyone have secret porthole pictures? :cool1:

Great thread! I was just wondering...do all cat 4 rooms have a bed that comes down from the ceiling? I noticed they can sleep 5.

This is a great thread. It's hard to tell sometimes looking at the DCL standard photos what the rooms really look like. These pictures give us a MUCH better idea. :thumbsup2

Does anyone have a picture of 6580 on the Wonder. Going this November and would love to see a picture or two.. :)

Can you give a review of the room too??

Bed rail for the convertible sofa/bed available?

Stateroom reports can be found here http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/roomlist.cfm

For what a room looks like all rooms in a given category will look the same. The only thing that might change is the orientation of the furniture (mirror of what you might see in the picture).

Bed rails are always available - just ask your room steward.

This is a GREAT thread!

Two questions:

1) Any difference in the Cat 1-2-3 between the Wonder and the Magic?
2) Does anyone have a ballpark figure for the Cat 1 or 2? I know it depends on how many in your party, when you're cruising, and how long, but before I even start considering it I need to know if it's financially feasible or will set us on the road to ruin :lmao: . On the DCL site I couldn't find anywhere with the prices for the suites

Thanks for any help!

I've cruise in suites on both the Magic and the Wonder. But one on each so I can't really compare the different ships, only the suites themselves. justmestace might be the master for this question!

We did the Roy suite on the Wonder and a category 2 suite on the Magic. Both suites are beautiful! We really did spend a good amount of time in the suites and for our family of 4 there was more than enough room! We liked both suites because they give DH and I privacy during the trip;) as well as giving our two teenage sons the same in their own bedroom. We liked the layout of both suites, but I must say I kind of preferred the category 2 suite. It had real doors to both bedrooms so there were no pocked doors sliding in and out during the rocky parts of the cruise.

The two times we've cruised and for our 3rd upcoming cruise (in a category 3 this time) we've cruised in the so called off season (November on the Wonder for a land/sea package in the Roy suite, January for the Category 2 on the Eastern Cruise, and another Eastern in the Category 3 suite in October '08upcoming). All of the trips have been in the 10k range for the cruise itself (the land/sea was also 10k but it was a 4 day cruise with 3 days at DW at the GF).

The DCL doesn't list the suites online for prices or availability. You'll have to call them or a TA for a quote. We're on the waiting list hoping to move up to the category 2 for our next cruise.

Anyone have pictures of 8100 or 8600 - handicap Cat 3's? We have these as an upgrade option, and have no idea what they look like...they have such an unusual footprint on the map!

Thanks.

I finally found where the prices are "hidden" on the website. First click on a cruise (like 7 day Eastern) under the Cruises heading, then you can choose Rates or Dates. The rates just give you a price range, but it definitely helps.

Great information and am jealous of all the cruises!!

We sailed on the Wonder in Cat 3 and the doors did the slamming shut thing the last night as it got a bit rocky. We are going on the Magic this time Cat 2 and was thrilled that you liked that better than Cat 1. We booked 2 years out and could not get the Cat 1. We wonder if they hold those until a certain date...

We got the Roy Suite 9 months out but we were on the land/sea package and I think those packages get preference for suites. For the MAGIC, I don't know how it works. We got the category 2 while sailing in the category 1-so about 14 months out. While in the category 2 and trying to book another suite, all we could get was the category 3 and that was 19 months out! I think the suites are getting harder to get. We are on the waiting list so cross your fingers!

We really did like the category 2! We thought the layout was perfect for our family, and it still had real doors like the category 1 suite.

Yikes, can't you see through the sliding pocket doors of the category 3? I can't have my teenagers peeking in on DH and I! :scared1: That would gross us all out!

Don't be jealous! We did car trips for vacations for years while I stayed home and raised our family. Now that I am working again, we get to take real trips! It was a long time getting here, but it's all worth it now! :flower3: You sound like you cruise in the same style we do! I hope you have a great time!:cloud9:

Just bumping up as I think this is a great thread (and I thought I'd subscribed to it, and hadn't, so after searching through 20+ pages for it, I don't want to search again :rotfl2: ) :thumbsup2
