Agador, bring Master Kevin another pirin tablet.![]()
Thanks for the warm wishes and good thoughts.
We are thrilled with our new home.
Since our closing on Friday, we have purchased a new washer / dryer, a new fridge, a new stove, a new kitchen faucet and picked out entry tile and hardwood floors.
We now have to find a painter, an electrician, a plumber, someone to install a fence, add a porch.
Then we can move in.
We signed mortgage papers the other day and everything was fine until I saw that our final payment will be due in February 2041.
Once I caught my breath.....we finished signing.
In 2041, I will be 82.
I'm freaking myself out all over again.
Breath....breath....breath
Thank you all again.
We fully intend to have the curtain match the drapes......

I have heard that White House subs are amazing.
I am virtually sending an unlimited supply of Apple Store Gift Cards.

Dare I ask about the state of the curtains and drapes...
Major Coke choke! No kidding, when I read the first line, there was a literal choke on my beverage. There should be a warning before posting something that's going to really crack a person up like that!!We fully intend to have the curtain match the drapes......
Justin, you are a mere child compared to us! Since you're giving away Segways, may I have one too? (Remember, I do know Leo after all!)I bring to John & Kevin a pair of virtual Segways....just keep them out of the parks!
PS.....I will be 66 in 2041.
Kevin/John - I'm nosy. Did you get a top loading or front loading washer? I recently bought a new front loader (which I LOVE), but I did a LOT of research into the possible mold issues first, so if you got one too, I will gift you all of my advice on how to care for a front loading washer.![]()
ROFLMAO!! That sums up the process perfectly! Since I've got all that girly clothing (I'd call myself a princess, but I'm old so I'm known to all here as "The Queen"Ok...lets talk washers and dryers...
I went to the store and the sales woman decided I needed the $1200 washer that has a steam feature so that I can "refresh my clothing without having to launder them" and a dryer with a shelf so I can "dry my athletic shoes after steaming them....or dry my delicate knitwear".
When I explained that I just wanted to wash my clothes, didnt really own any delicate knitwear and have never washed my sneakers, we moved on to something that "didnt really agitate my fine clothing....it gently moved them from side to side".
John and I are standing there in tshirts and shorts and I had on a sweatshirt. I started to wonder if my fine sweatshirt needed better treatment.
We then moved on to the front loaders and they came with their own issues. Mold, mildew, door seals not working.....and my favorite part "these machines will need your attention in order to give you the service you deserve."
I really dont have time to give my washer the "attention it needs". I'm lucky John gets the attention he needs and deserves.
We bought a $298 Admiral washer and a $298 Admiral dryer that apparently are ok being ignored in the laundry room by themselves.
I can stick a big old load of my fine clothing in and when it's done, I can stick in the dryer.
By making this choice, the only thing being agitated is my clothing.

After many years of being frustrated with spending hours doing laundry, folding laundry, thinking about laundry, now I have the nice man from the laundromat come get it, and bring it back folded the next day.
Ok Amy......I think you say these things to make me crazy.
This is up there with "I have a cupcake store around the corner" and "I'm going to see Patti LuPone tonight."
We're lucky to have someone willing to deliver a pizza.

Lynn Ahrens taught my class last night.
Sorry![]()
And I'm sorry to momentarily hijack the thread, but are you talking Suessical Lynn Ahrens? If you are, what kind of class is it, and I'm so jealous!Lynn Ahrens taught my class last night.

That laundry plan of yours is pretty cool, too. For that kind of service, I would pay more attention to the laundry man than my husband. Notice a trend here?![]()
