Staff cant help with quest. Why? They didn't even get to do it yet.

Luckily I completed the quest last night, when less people were on.

But I did find it unfair to only give us 1 surfboard instead of both.

I signed in to do the quest and have no idea what to do. What stone am I supposed to click on? I clicked on all of them several times and so has the other dozen players in Stonehedge. Can someone help plz? Am I in the wrong room?

Hi
Well at least you got into the room , i can not get in there,so i shall give up,the screen loads then dc !!

This is frustrating. I figured they would have it worked out by now that ppl could move without having others in the way. But, this quest is cute. How many questions are there? Do I have to play the Audobon Game for one of the questions?
OT: How do I take a screeneshot of the webpage?

That was TORTURE!!!!! Too much walking for a princess! LOL! (even for one who can't walk)

Can you say "VFK get a MAP"? How about marking the ground so you know where you can walk and where the exits are.
We started last night one hour before closing. I crashed several times. There was lots of lag. People jammed the doorways and exits so no one could move. You had to go back home to get anywhere at all. Princess got frustrated and quit. Not much better today. The bird game rooms were the worst to walk through.

The staff that I saw were all very helpful. They all answered questions and didn't just say hi. I think it was way too soon for a quest. I am thrilled to see the progress and be a part of the testing but there are so many bugs to work out. Anyone who started the quest SHOULD be awarded the prizes. The kids would never be able to answer the trivia questions without help. I needed HELP! LOL!

The rock in stonehedge I believe is the lone skinny one towards the center of the room- click the base of it.

GOOD LUCK!:furious:

There are 24 questions, but the last two technically aren't questions.

You have to ride through the Audobon game, but you don't actually have to play. Just click on logs in each of the rooms.

Take a screenshot by hitting the print screen button (usually next to the num lock key at the top of the keyboard) and then open up Paint or a similar program and paste it in there.

We too found it very, very frustrating-only took us 14 hours to finish. Many of us kept clicking and clicking the barrels in the store with nothing happening no matter what we did! For us it turned out once we switched from Firefox to Safari it was ok and then who knew you could walk through birdland? Hint to any who haven't started it yet. GO to Stonehedge first and then click the quest button. Also any time you need to go from say the bird game to the crossroads click on the house and go back through the yard. For those of us with an bad leg it saved some walking. So now the question-do we stay with this not even close imitation of VMK, the unfiltered chat of Smallworld (but we love the missions) or just keep watching gpdot WONDERFUL VMK tribute????? I WANT MY VMK!

who knew you could walk through birdland?
Now that would have been nice to know. I did it by clicking playing the game, had to go around several times as I had to go research some of the answers to the trivia, then came back to find I had to do something in a room I had already passed.

Third, most of the trivia also annoyed me, how many kids know the names of all the Beach Boys, let alone what year the Hula Hoop was invented. Obviously most kids probably would have needed to use an outside source, which isn’t the point of this exercise unless I am mistaken.

And then they have the answers wrong, kinda. Many of their questions have controversy on when it was invented (like the ice cream cone, the hula hoop, the frisbee). For example, the Hula Hoop may have been PATENTED in 1957, but it was a toy in both African cultures and Native American cultures long before there was even settlers in America. And Sunscreen may have first been marketed in America in the 1940's, but ancient Egyptians used a mineral cream specifically to block the tanning of the sun. Also if you did a quick search on the history of sunscreen, you would probably come up with the name Eugene Schueller (the founder of the L’Oreal cosmetic company) as the modern inventor of sunscreen, and a debate on if he had it before the Australian Blake. Yes, I could figure out which answer they were trying to get you to chose, but it still bugs me that the history is the "quick and dirty type answers" (and USA biased), rather than thought out questions.

Don't forget Jan and Dean and the Beach Boys are from an era long ago, most kids would not even know who they are.

Hmm, well okay I know that we are all frustrating about losing our little magic
kingdom and don't really know what to do, and think VFK is a lot worse than
other games right now etc. But now you guys are trying to find everything
slightly wrong with any little detail and bash it and bash them. Give them
a chance! I think this game has potential! (in about 5 months but still :P)

NOT trying to bash anyone, but I'm just saying these poor people are just trying
to put together a community to replace the one we lost. :(

Anyone want to take pictures of each item for sale in the shop @_@

Like with the green-stripped background.

These "poor people" need to start to make realistic promises, that they can follow through on. They need to stop constantly disappointing people by not following through. I don't think I am being unreasonable in the slightest expecting them to follow the time line they post on their home page. I'm trying to give the game a chance, but it is really hard to trust a game that falls short of following through with what they announce.

I DO agree they need to STOP making promises and disappointing everyone
when they come out late, or not as good as they make it seem.

But I don't agree that just because they are doing that means that
we should bash every little detail about the game because we're mad
at them for disappointing us. Didn't say you were, but I'm just saying.. hehe

Ok I did the quest at the beginning I too found it frustrating but I learn a way around it. If I could not get anywhere I would hit home. Most of the time I was in the first room by myself. Also if I could not get to a place I would go back out the exit and try for a different room. Maybe 2 or 3 tries I got it. And then would have a pretty empty room to work with.

Since I have played every day I knew where all things were. And most of my friends were not on so I just walked it.

As for question that is what google is for. Like we knew all the answers in VMK quests. All the questions were easily found in google. And kids should learn how to look up who is the members of the beach boys. Considering it was for a surf board I think the beach boys was a fine question. It could have been worse. Name the person who sang tiny bubbles.

As for the right answer well should we have our history discussion again :rotfl2:

Yes it was laggy but I had lots of fun. And it being on almost the whole day today I found when my husband went on later it was really easy to get through. Gee does that sound like a game we used to play was like too.

Remember when we had Quests in VMK that had over 100 people trying to get into a room.

Yes not the best quest but the the worst I have done either. As for prizes I think they were good 1,200 credits was a really good start. The red beach ball that others were so upset about it being pulled. Gee how many times in VMK did they pull this. Yes I so miss VMK I miss my rooms, my friends etc.

When I started the bird game I was averaging 60 credits a game so to me that was awesome.

ps oh sharkmeal you have not asked me for my shopping list :lmao:

Don't mistake criticizing for "bashing" from what I read, most people are just being critical about the game and expressing their own opinion. Just because someone says something that isn't necessarily a compliment, does not mean it is bashing. Anyone who bashes the game, probably isn't playing it.

I'm going to laugh when VFK gets sued.

Well, you know, VMK wasn't the first one to have quests, characters that
walk around in lands, and shops and all that. ;) It is more similar than other
games are, but VMK no longer exists and as long as VFK stays between
the fine line, they probably won't get sued. I mean, look at Club Penguin,
a disney product that is not closed, and then look at Panfu, a non-disney product that is currently open. They are extremely similar, more similar than
VMK and VFK are, and Panfu is not being sued or anything.

No, not about the quests and such, the EXTREME similarity between games that are coming out (Ship Battle, Fireworks) and all of the items that were copied (Barrel Seat, Crates, Velvet Divider, Beach Ball).
