I am 26 now and Todd is 38. We live in NJ, where I am from and he is from upstate NY. We met working in Emergency Medical field as EMT's. few dates later turned into a year and a half later him proposing, now we have been together 3 1/2 years and finally are making plans to tie the knot.
Our engagement....of course we were engaged in Disney World but does anyone know where??? rose garden? NO, in front of castle? NO....he proposed to me IN CINDERELLAS SUITE INSIDE THE TOP OF THE CASTLE!!!!! to me this is amazing because i have always wanted to go up there and see what it was like. Basically I was sitting in front of the castle waiting for Spectromagic Light Up Parade to start when he said he needed the restroom. while he was gone there was this cute little young couple that got engaged right in front of me in front of the castle, of course it was romantic but i was starting to think Todd was never going to ask me. He then returned with a cast member name Chris, he said "we have to go with him i thnk we won something." I was like are you sure? are we in trouble? he laughed and seemed nervous, so i followed them. I of course with my luck was in a
scooter because i had ankle surgery only 6 weeks prior. Anyway, I followed them to the base of the castle and met another cast member named Virginia. Great name huh? lol she said her and Chris were going to take us somewhere not many people get to go, and she held the keys to the large wooden door. I got up off the scooter to my crutches and we enetered this foyer, its was the lobby to the suite. they explained all these facts to us and i was asking tons of questions, we then entered an eleveator and i was still shaking happy with questions. i couldnt believe we were going up to the suite! the whole time Todd was silent, which was odd for him. the doors opened and the floors were tiled in a mosaic of the carriage with 24 kt gold tiles, and in the cabinet was Cinderellas glass slipper her crown and glass pumpkins. i hobbled over on my crutches asking chris and virginia to take a picture of us there near the glass slipper. as i was smiling todd was taking forever to walk over but i didnt notice, he had fished through his bag and walked over and got on one knee and asked me to marry him!!!! he was all teared up and i was so happy of course i said yes, the ring box was even a mickey lenox box! we have pictures of it happening thanks to chrics and virginia! i will post them soon.
they explained unfortunately we could not spend the night in the suite because the night was already given to another family for the night. they escorted us back down and out the castle. of course by now we lost our spot for the parade so chris was so generous to let us sit in VIP area with the family that was chosen to stay in the suite that night!
todd said none of it was planned, that he had been waiting for the right time all day and then he had the idea about the suite! he walked in city hall customer service and asked. they originally told him no we couldnt go up there and tried to suggest other places in the park. todd said no he would just take me away for a weekend and ask me, then chris told him to give him a minute and about ten minutes later he said yes and thats when they came to get me. It was perfect, intimate private and magical, and it didnt cost him a dime to plan. THANK YOU DISNEY!!!
so he thought this would mean a NJ wedding since we got engaged in Disney, WRONG SILLY MAN. after alot of research and thought, we are tying the knot in DISNEY!!
What a wonderful proposal story!! More proof that Disney Cast Members are awesome!! Congrats on the engagement, and enjoy the wedding planning!!

March 7th, 2013 will be the day! Diane Mahoney-Brown called me today and we booked the wedding pavillion for a noon ceremony and a lunch buffet reception. As of right now Ariel's at the beach club resort is the only thing available for our guest count. i have not seen many weddings done there. Anyone know anything about it? i did see pictures and it is pretty. we also booked Italy Isola West for Desert Party! i am most excited we got the Wedding Pavillion, i cried when i visited it, i knew that was the place todd and i should be married.
