hi again all

sorry I seem to be hogging the board at the moment - only because I've only just booked and am still a bit hyper! lol

Is the Virgin welcome meeting worth going to? And do they run them every morning?

Just wondering if it's worth popping a slot into my itinerary for the welcome meeting on the morning after arrival? How long do they take?

This will be my tenth trip to Orlando (but first with Virgin) so don't need much basic info / orientation etc. Is there more to it than that?

and do I need to go to the meeting to get my free meal at the Hard Rock (if they are still doing that)?

Sorry for the million questions!

Flo

Personally we didn't go after our first visit, however, if you want your free HardRock meal (if they are still providing this), then I think you have to attend. It's really up to you, but after 10 visits, surely you must know most of the information anyway.

yup - that was kind of my point lol. If all they dish out is info, then we can miss it. If there is "added value" (eg the hard Rock meal) then it might be worth us popping in.

So I just wanted to know, from someone who has been recently, what, if any, added value there is...

The welcome meetings are only for those who haven't done any sort of planning before they actually arrive in Florida. The Virgin meeting I went to was just a last-ditch attempt by Virgin to flog Park Tickets and other Virgin 'awaydays'. I didn't even bother waiting till the end before I left and many others did the same, knowing my luck there was probably some great giveaway at the end! If you've been ten times already, you'd be better off chairing the welcome meetings, never mind just going!!!

dont bother with welcome meeting.......if you want your hard rock voucher, which is worth getting just pop and see the rep and say you forgot to get it at your meeting,,,,,,,,,thats what we did with no problems

On related subject, what is the fayre like at the Hard Rock?

Just returned from DLP and tried PH for the very first time and found that VERY over-priced for oh-hum food.......
