Virgin Tickets Prices Increase & Policy Change

Ok here goes.:goodvibes

We are booked with them for our holidays anyway.
Lastnight I added the 14 day ultimate tickets priced at the OLD prices totalling £800 for 2 adults and 2 children,I added them to my holiday booking.
I have just got off the phone from Virgin who have honoured that price and given me a 10% off the ticket price :) leaving a total price of £720 so a MASSIVE thumbs up to them!!!!! :thumbsup2

P,S we are FVC members.

Well I have booked with Virgin and all seemed to go through ok.
14 Day Disney ticket is 215 and 2 park Universal ticket is £70.

I had the same issue as we have 8 travelling and always had to discuss with them first.
They all agree, but they never come up with cash straight away. Anyway, Mastercard pays for everything else.

You do have an option to put your FVC code in when buying tickets.

Great news!!

I will call them to check before booking. Just waiting on response from charter Travel first! Virgin working out at £46.50 cheaper if FVC is honoured for 7 day premium ticket plus 2park IOA/Universal plus Sea World/Busch 14 days.

Well, just spoke to a girl at FVC who has informed me that they are not allowed to sell theme park tickets to people who have not booked a holiday with them. Asked her what would happen if I booked online am able to and she's put me on hold whilst she finds out......

.....Well, the Internet team are saying that my booking won't be valid. I'm fuiguring that if I can book online that's their problem. Haven't seen any blatant wording telling me that I should have my holiday booked with them. can't really see what they can do.

Out of interest have people had to pay in full for their tickets or just deposit?

When we spoke to someone, they told us to qualify for a discount on tickets, you have had to have booked a holiday with them which cost at least £1,500? So not sure where you would stand, but I'm sure there will be something in the small print...but I could be mistaken?

I just called Virgin and they said i cant get tickets from them without a booking......where do i get them now !! :confused3

Apparently the new prices are effective from 1st April so wondering if the new policy is the same?

I'm going to put a booking through and see what happens. If not next cheapest I have had is Charter Travel followed by Pillinger Travel.

Any other suggestions?

I have paid in full for the tickets.

I am slightly concerned because I am expecting a problem with the tickets. But I keep thinking that if I was not a Disney addict and members of various forums I would not know any different. Because at the end of the day I have logged onto Virgin (via Quidco) and purchased some Disney tickets at the price they wanted to charge me. So I have done nothing wrong and I will be annoyed if they try charging me anymore.

If it is wrong they need to get their on-line system correct.

What do you guys say? :confused3 :confused3

Just called VH and the prices have already gone up on the website and over the phone :scared1: On the bright side ..... I did save £171 on my Flextickets before the increase, but Disney's gonna cost us this year!

The prices have gone up on the page that shows the ticket prices. But when you go to purchase them it is the old prices. I have just checked again and it is still the old prices.

Confused.....com

Hmmm I hope we don't have a problem getting tickets from them, I'm sure they'll have to give tickets to people who've bought them online, afterall it's not our fault if they have an error with their system. I think we'll all be fine ;)
