Virgin Seat-Booking Help!

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help because I can't face ringing Virgin!

Just trying to book my seats on the flight for next year but I can't log into Virgin Atlantic website. It wants my booking reference but won't accept the booking number from the invoice. Does anyone know what number it wants - I'm having a no brainer obviously!!!

Unfortunately, you are going to have to call Virgin - either Virgin Holidays (assuming you booked through them) or Virgin Atlantic. What you need is your Virgin Atlantic booking reference NOT your Virgin Holidays one. Providing that VH have released your booking details to VA, you can call VA to get this number - otherwise, you will have to wait until they release the booking to VA.

By the way, I'm sure you already know this but you can't pre-book your seats until about 336 days beforehand anyway.

We used VH booking no. in 2005 - has that changed? Oh, and we had to wait until 336 days before the return flight, we couldn't do just the outward flight before then.

Just sort of saying the same thing as Joh-you must wait 336 days(plus a few)from your return date.You then ring VH for your Flight Locater Number,once you have been given this-then ring or go online,enter this number then you can book your in+outbound flights+childs meals if you require them.I rang on the exact 336 day mark+it was'nt available,the lady at virign hols told me to ring back in another week-i did and it was available.x.

Ive always been able to use the VH reference as well as the VA one, have you booked your flights direct with Virgin? If you have booked through a company you may not be able to view your booking until it has been paid for and released

Ah thanks everyone -I thought it was 336 days from my flight to Florida - seems I have a few more days to wait yet!! I thought the Virgin Holidays number was the one I usually used!

I have to say, despite what others have said, when we went back in April, we weren't able to use the VH number - only one given to us by VA.

We can get into our booking with the virgin holidays number. Though I always make a note of the VA number when I first log in as it seems to load quicker than using the VH number.

We fly 16th May next year and I have been told our booking with VH won't be released to VA until end July / Beginning August
Not much use when we want to make sure we get good seats !!!
