Virgin rant!

So, it turned out we were moved to trim the aircraft & not because the flight was full. There were a total of 109 passengers on a 747 so once we had taken off could move anywhere as long as it was to an equivalent seat, i.e. couldn't go & sit in extra leg room, although we did as another passenger put a bottle of fanta in the overhead luggage & didn't put the lid on so we were fanta'd on! We hadn't moved before meal service & by the time it reached us it was sausage & mash only as both the chicken & vegetarian option had run out. DH had 2 meals & 2 fab lollies whilst I ended up with a thai curry from one of the other cabins as I don't eat any meat other than chicken or turkey. Cabin crew were the Virgin of years back - very friendly & helpful.

Immigration was well organised although not particularly fast but that didn't matter. From landing it was 45 minutes until we were sat on Disney's Magical Express - Can not moan at that!:)

Online check in for our flight home tomorrow  & weather forecast does not predict a smooth flight...

Another person who loves the 2's at the back. You might have a longer wait at the end but your on the plane a lot longer and those seats at the back are great.

Don't agree with moving people unless the plane is really quiet or single travellers plonk themselves in an awkward place

Its not just singles who do that, on a flight I was on a load of couples had booked the window and aisle seat hoping they'd get a 3 to themselves except the flight was full so loads of other families were split up, took the air hostesses ages to sort that mess out so we left late.

It was a full flight coming home. We had our preselected seats & couldn't complain, unlike the air hostess who was quite vocal about her opinion on peoples hand baggage size. Having sat in the bubble the storage is not as ample. What I have also learnt is that I wouldn't pay for PE upstairs as the extra leg room seats down stairs in economy were more than adequate & with economy at the back, the exclusivity is no longer there - the only difference was a slightly larger chair and a purple blanket!

We were slightly late leaving but only arrived 5 mins late.

One observation is that there were an increasing number of gate hangers so that those who had been called forward couldn't actually get there!
