Virgin merging

There are rumours about that Virgin Atlantic may be looking to merge with BMI (British Midland).

Hope this resulkts in more direct flights to Orlando from East Midlands Airport

I read on teletext that BA aren't too happy with this and may make a bid themselves. However it went on to say that BA may bid for Virgin rather than BMI.

I read this on bbc teletext also, it said BA are going to make a bid for either Virgin or BMI

Ooo now this does all sound interesting - have to keep an eye on this. Now if BA and Virgin merge that would be cool if I can then merge both sets of frequent flyer miles.

I hope that BA and Virgin don't merge. Where would be the competition, where would be the incentive to keep prices down? Let 'em fight it out for my business I say!
