Virgin are giving away a meal voucher for one of the resturants in CityWalk. I know the menu is limited but how limited?

Has anyone done it?
What's on the menus?
Can the voucher be used as part payment for a more expensive meal?

Thanks

We were given a Virgin voucher for Hard Rock Cafe :thumbsup2

From my experience it appeared that, what you could actually purchase with the voucher, depended on your server ;)

I can't remember, exactly, what we ordered but seem to recall that they were fairly flexible with the 'supposed' menu :rolleyes1

Hard Rock was last year. We did it and while the more 'exotic' and specialist meals were not available, the basics all were, and if my sister can find something she likes, then everyone can! We got main meal and drinks free, and then we also had dessert, which we paid out of pocket for!

This year it's supposed to be: Pastamore, Latin Quarter, Pat O'Briens, Bob Marleys and Margaritaville, unless it's changed since the beginning of the year! I should imagine that it will be the same sort of set-up as with Hard Rock. 6-10 different main courses to choose from and then a drink! Who cares when it's free though?! :rotfl:

Don't you have to go to the welcome meeting to get these. We never saw a virgin rep the whole time we were there last november and they weren't left at the hotel.:confused3

My DD and her BF are going with VH in September.
Where do you get the voucher from?
Thanks
Tracy

I have emailed virgin saying that I would be touring and wouldn't be able to get to the welcome meeting, they said I should see the rep in the airport and they will work something out :)

Generally, yes, they are handed out at the Welcome Meetings. Since we had very little budget for food last trip ($20 for 3 of us per day), an hour or so at the welcome meeting was a small price to pay for one of the biggest meals of our trips! :rotfl:

We tried that but the reps at the airport said they don't carry the vouchers and gave us a list of Virgin centres saying we could call in anytime. Just never found the time! ;)

Hope you will have more success. :goodvibes

they hand them out at welcome meetings, if you don't go you don't get vouchers, they want to get you to welcome meeting to try to sell other excursions. but there is no 'hard sell' . If you can spare 1/2 morn then go and get your free meal :thumbsup2

We purchased a pre-paid telephone card from Virgin which they have ready at the airport for you. As we had purchased something they arranged to have our vouchers waiting at MCO for us.

How did you arrange the purchase of that?

Hi:goodvibes , Hubbie contacted Virgin and they are leaving the vouchers at the airport for us to pick up.
We are staying at The Hyatt Regency at the airport for one night and then down to Clearwater for a few days before coming back up to Orlando, so we wont be around;) .
Last time when we went to the meeting the Guy was so rude and I just don't want to spend precious time with someone who had a face like a bag of spanners and an attitude to match.:sad2:
I'm sure there not all like that but I would rather give the meeting a miss

We've claimed it twice. Tried to just collect voucher-as we had already purchased all park tickets via Virgin, but they made me sit through whole welcome meeting-which I don't need to see-they don't tell you anything you can't find out on websites like this (in fact alot less). The first time we claimed we'd already been there a few days and I went on my own while Hubby stayed with kids, so they could have a lie-in. Last year we did the same (but I made him go-fairs fair!). They got quite stroppy with him because the 'whole family' weren't there and didn't want to give him vouchers. They also made him wait until last to be served-but he stood his ground. In my opinion Virgin customer service has really slipped the last couple of years.
