Virgin manchester flights

Does anyone know why Virgin have changed planes departing manchester Oct 2011 from 747 to Airbus 330

There are taking delivery of brand new planes in the Spring I believe which they are putting on these routes.

I think i have seen the 744's will be kept and refitted. Current thinking is the earlier Manchester flight is the A333 and the later one the 744. All things can change though.

Would anybody know if we will still get all the same inflight entertainment inc the tv screens, it mentioned extras on Wayne's link for Upper Class and PE, we have booked our seats second to the back in economy so we can sit together, hope they will be ok, tia Debs x

I would imagine there will be no change on the actual films on offer but there should be more channel options, pause/rewind etc. Most of all I hope more of them will actually work.
