Virgin make me mad!!!

I have been on the phone for 72 minutes to add 3 seaworld tickets and upgrade the car from an intermediate car to a convertible. The cost went up £1000(it should have gone up about £350) . The lady got it all wrong and changed the cost of my holiday even though wrong and has promised to call me back when she sorts it out, she has not called but changed my booking online and its wrong!!!!!!:confused:
She has added my disney tickets twice and changed the price of them from when I booked my holiday, has anyone got any ideas where I can talk to someone in this country that understands me. This has really made me cross tonight I feel like telling them I will cancel my booking. Hoping someone can help me...
 
If I am right, the number you want to call is 01293 496917. That *should* get you through to the Virgin switchboard, which is based in the UK. Just ask to speak to someone about a current booking, and you should get to speak to someone in the UK, who understands you and what you are after. They sorted out some trouble with my booking a couple of years ago.
 
I hope you get it sorted out!

It's reading messages like this that has stopped me from amending my VH booking. I need to add park tickets for 4 of us but there is no way I'm going to mess with my VH booking so I'll get them elsewhere. VHs reputation for being misunderstood at their call centre has lost them about £1000 worth of business.

I made my VH booking online, and have made payments online, and if I need to change anything, I can do that online too - no need to speak to anyone...

I had a couple of questions, which I emailed them with, and my email was forwarded on to an extremely helpful rep, who's actually out in Orlando. No worries there, although it will be later in the year I actually want to alter a couple of things, so we'll see then!

I take it you guys booked over the phone originally?

Great when it works like that but doesn't always, I always book online but Xmas I wanted to add a ticket, because we had paid final payment I had to ring. Thankfully I had no problems but some struggle with VH Customer services.
 
I added DDP last week and got a really helpful guy who sorted it all out for me. He had to change the whole booking as the adult price had gone up so he had to amend it back and also we had a free child place so he had to amend that.

He explained that as soon as you amend the booking everything changes to the current days prices so they have to manually go back in and change everything back to your original booking.

Surely Virgin would have come up with a system where they could just add something! :confused3
 
This is specifically the reason why we have used a travel agent, rather than DIY with VH. They can be impossible to get on the phone and then difficult to communicate with once you do get through. I'd rather pay someone else (the commission that VH would otherwise happily trouser) to have this hassle.

I booked online in 2007 but found that modifying online removed a 10% special discount I got. Luckily Flying Club offered 10% discount on VH bookings (which couldn't be added online) then so I managed to add it back.
 
After calling Virgin with dread this morning, they were going to put me through to the india call center again. So I got really cross and said I would be cancelling the booking as the price had increased and was incorrect. The guy relented and put me through to the uk, the lady sorted it out within minutes and could see what the person yesterday had done wrong. I was so relieved!
The lady today said they are having many problems with the india call centre, lets hope they sort it out!!! :cheer2:

Woohoo! Glad you managed to get it sorted out. The UK staff are always so helpful and doing everything within minutes. Also good to know they realise the trouble with India. Perhaps now they will return their calls to the UK. The irony is, they think it will cost too much to bring it back to the UK, but just think how many of us would be happy with UK call centre and we'll start booking more/getting others to book because it works so great. Oh well.

I completely agree. We have used the local Co-Op Travel and they freely admit that they hate having to ring Virgin Holidays about any alterations to any holidays. We have made a few changes to our package and I have been there when they have tried to speak to someone in Customer Services.

I feel for anyone who has to deal with such bad customer services on a daily basis!
 
I so so so hate calling them. I called to add an infant to our booking and it was chaotic. They spelt the infants surname wrong even though the surname was on the booking, so had to ring them up to tell them. Oh my, they said "as I am changing a name it would cost me." I said I AM NOT CHANGING A NAME IT WAS YOU WHO SPELT IT WRONG. I was so exasperated. I finally got it sorted but that was after a long time on the phone and a few arguments.
I so hate it.
