I've got a holiday booked for March 08 with VH and I have a query on the invoice (they've over charge me). I emailed over a month ago to raise this with them but no reply. Each time I try and ring I just get their Indian call centre. I just want to speak to someone in the UK who knows what they are doing.

We are also waiting for UC to be booked. We go out 23 Mar and back 2 Apr - surely we should hear about this very soon? We booked in January but they told us that is was too early to do.

Can anyone give me any tips on being able to speak to someone in the UK?

Thanks

PP

Try this number - 0870 990 4205. It's their Upper Class ressies number and you will speak to someone in the UK. Good luck...

We had the same problem booking the UC seats, we were told that only so many are pre-allocated. We booked July '06 for our May '07 trip and I think that it was going on Christmas before the UC confirmation came through.

The UC phone number is the one to go for. We had real fun trying to get sense from the call centres over pretty simple issues so I sympathise !.

Good luck

I don't know. My invoice was wrong and I rang the contact centre in india. At first the advisor was telling me it was right but when I calmly insisted he got it changed. I think as long as you know what you are talking about calling there is fine.

Edit: To be honest its the same in any contact centre. I work in one and some advisors just can't get the info right. No matter how many times you tell them. Or some just don't care and lie or don't do what they should. Thats the minority though please believe me!

Sounds all too familiar I am afraid, we had numerous invoice problems when we switched our July 07 holiday to March 08.
Several phone calls later it was finally corrected, Customer Service levels have dropped over the past couple of years.

This is why I decided to book the next holiday with Virgin through Thomas Cook - just can't be doing with any potential hassle and would prefer someone else to deal with it and for me to chill out .:hippie:

I often find a third party can be more frustrating than doing it yourself unless you find someone who really understand you and booking a holiday to Florida. The last time I used a TA for the whole package was in 2001 and now only use a specific TA for booking accommodation direct with WDW as they know what they are doing and I trust them completely :)

The one Thomas Cook branch I've used for all the USA holidays we've been on has been fine so I probably have been lucky so far!!!!! although the next hols is in just under 2 months so I suppose things can go wrong for this holiday still! Using travel agents is just my preference, although I've booked our next trip to Northern Ireland completely online.

I just reprinted an updated invoice for our VH trip in July - I have phoned the Virgin call centre several times with various success (or not) because we chose to move hotels from CBR to AKL (althought wishing we hadn't with all the construction issues - that's for another thread though!)

ANYWAY - i noticed they had merged our room requests - according to VH we are currently requesting a "ground floor corner room in Jamaica overlooking Arusha Savannah on the second floor" !!!

Well you never know................:rotfl2:

Thanks everyone! I will try the UC number today so I can chase them on our UC seats at the same time as querying the invoice. Fingers crossed. PP

I have had a few issues with our booking and have manged to get them resolved through call centre, some staff are more helpful than others, if you get a bad one end the call and try again. It is annoying though, especially when you are ina queue and have to listen to dreadful piped music  I also find the staff on FVC lines more helpful.

I have emailed them several times and ALL have been ignored.

Success! I rang thru on the UC number and got it all sorted. They've sorted out the invoice and I've requested the seats we wanted. UC will be booked in the next two weeks as well - yippee!

Great to hear it is all sorted

Claire ;)
