Virgin having a laugh

Once you are checked in, you are checked in. Whether you print off your boarding card or not, you are checked in and on the plane. There is a boarding card hanging around in cyberspace for you, or at the bag drop desk depending on what you do.

There are several options. You can print your boarding pass there and then, or have it emailed to your account if you need to use a different computer to print it off(which we did this time around), or not print it at all and collect it when you do bag drop (as we did the trip before last). I can't remember what happens with the printed bit, because my sister normally deals with that. You either get to keep it and then get the official boarding card, or they take it and issue you with the official boarding card. Either way, you get a proper one!

Okay, so it's the same as BA then. Thanks for that. It's just that I won't be at home and probably won't have access to a printer from the time I do online check in and then right up until physical check in at the airport so I realise I most likley won't have a paper pass. BA let us keep it the one I printed last time I did print one. All they did was use my passport and my details and pulled it up on screen and issued the boarding passes. They didn't even ask to see the paper ones.

So if my pre chosen seats are still showing when I do online check in they are keepers? :cool1:

Yes.

Unless something unforeseen happens like a last minute plane swap after check-in had closed, for whatever reason! But then that would end up being the same for any airline - a plane change is a plane change and it can't always be identical!

Well picky as I like to be, as long as I am not separated from my DD I would get over it. Thanks for that.
