virgin from glasgow?

Just booked Saratoga Springs for April next year, and just about to confirm the flights.

We usually go BA via LGW, and have been both Virgin direct from MAN and Virgin from GLA via LGW.

Has anyone ever done this service? If so, can you tell me which aircraft they use? Also is it possible to pre-purchase another case (i.e. another 23kgs) prior to travel, as you can with BA?

Virgin fly direct from Glasgow.

If you log on to your booking with Virgin Atlantic you can see what plane they plan to use - but this can change at any time.

Flew with them April 2010 and they were great! Direct GLA to MCO

Using them again in 2 weeks time, and have pre-purchased an extra bag for the return leg. You can do this with your Virgin Atlantic login too. Worked out around £30 for one bag one way.

Sorry I just read back my post and realized I hadn't put in I was thinking of booking virgin flights!?!!! (idiot)

Anyway I booked the flights. Anytime I'd been with virgin from either MAN or LGW it was 747. So I called virgin and they advised they use the airbus from GLA.

So, next question does anyone know if they are refurbished planes? Looks like it on any images I've googled.

It's really just your luck what plane they use, depends on logistics, maintenance, delays elsewhere etc.

Take a little entertainment with you, use the earplugs for a snooze, and just look at it as a means to getting to your destination!

I wouldn't want you setting your heart on a refurbed plane, then ending up with an older one due to logistics. Either way, I've always been happy with my flights with them from GLA.
