Hi all, can anyone give me an idea what the food is like in virgin economy
Thanks
Graham
Thanks
Graham
The food on the outbound is prepared and loaded in the UK, on the inbound, unsurprisingly (Just read Jakey's post above, so its not just me with the return flight meals, why is it always worse?
), it's prepared and loaded in the US. Maybe the UK catering company is better than the US one
. Can't say I've ever noticed any difference, though. It's airline food, it's not going to be a gourmet dining experience. I always comfort myself with the same reasoning I adopt if I get disappointing food in a restaurant - there'll be another meal opportunity very soon!
on the flight out... Fruit salad instead... but my husband donated his cheescake on the return flight!

Am I correct in thinking that although there is a restriction on the liquid you can take on there is no restriction on food items on the flight as long as you destroy anything you haven't eaten before you enter the USA? Is this the same on the return home that you can bring food onto the plane? thanks
(This "security" check is more for the shops methinks)
Lisa,
there is no restriction on how much liquid you can take onbaord. the only restriction is the 100ml throiugh security. Once the other side, you can but as much liquid as your heart desires(This "security" check is more for the shops methinks)
No restriction on food, unless someone with a nut allergy is on board then no loose nuts (Dissers excepted)![]()
The drink is ok too, I don't mind buying after security even if it is making the shops a huge profit if it is keeping us all safe.
