This is our first time flying Virgin and we have managed to get seats in the bubble and hopefully they won't change them. Do you need to pay for any drinks onboard? Kids can get through a lot in 10 hours!

No, drinks are free. They only come through the cabin every little while but if you want a drink in between you can go to the galley & ask. I've never paid for a drink on board a Virgin flight.

drinks are free :)
they do come round a lot with them but you can also ask for extras :thumbsup2
sometimes they leave some in the galley for people to help themselves.

however they do run out of a lot of choices after a while. :)

No, it's all free. My only complaint was they give you those tiny cans of soft drink. I just normally ask for 2!

I had pre-booked seats in the bubble for our flight tomorrow but unfortunately when I checked in 25mins ago online, our seats had been changed. But we knew that might happen.

I know this might happen. That's a bummer did they give you a reason?

We wanted a drink at one point and went up to the galley and they said sorry we're shut!

I'd ask for 2 small cans as well :thumbsup2

No, it didn't even say they had altered them it just said the seat numbers. It wouldn't let me click on the seat map because it said there are no other seats available so I had to google the seat map to see whereabouts the seats were on the plane.

That's not good. :sad2: We have always been able to go up and get water from the galley. I must admit we do tend to take a bottle or two with us from departures though. We also ask for 2 cans and water when they come round to keep us going. Its too long a flight to feel dehydrated.

Hope they're good ones. I'm sure you'll have a fab time.wish I was going tomorrow!happy holidays!

I love the way that we all, me included, kid ourselves that the drinks are free! No they are not free, we just prepaid for them when we paid Virgin's extortionately high prices lol! :rotfl:

My flights were really cheap this year with VA (we go off peak) so basically you're paying for all the drinks we are going to have:rotfl:
Thank you for that:rolleyes1

Actually Vanda, we are going Aer Lingus this time, as can't afford over £1000 each for three of us plus a baby! But you are right, I probably would be paying for your drinks if I were ;)

£1000 each:sad2:good grief that's awful. I'd expect champagne through out the flight for that in proper crystal flutes as well!

I see you are off in 2 days..have a fantastic time:cool1:

Thanks QueenDisney, yes the Virgin prices made me want to cry this year...in 2007 we went with my sis in law at the same time of year and it was half that price! Am sure we will have a good time x

I really hope they don't change out our seats

Stupid I phone, I was goon to say I hope they don't change out our seats, as we have the bubble and due to having a child with autism he is going to flip!!
I dread it when looking at the flight plan and finding our seats have changed, were going up the day before to make sure we're 1st in the twilight booking line, I'm hoping that way we stand a good chance of keeping the seats!

Thank you!
Row 55 so not that impressed but I'm going to Disney so never mind!

I'm pleased you can manage to get over it as I wouldn't be able to lol let alone my son who has the autism!
I need a window seat no way can I sit in the middle of the plane as I would freak knowing that my son will freak!
It's one I those things where I panic knowing why the outcome will be when I get him on the plane!

Although I've never had my seats changed once I e pre selected them, we have had major issues with having no oxygen for the kids when excel was around and so we had to switch and move for take off and landing, real pain in *** as the twins was babies and fell asleep only for us to have to move after an hour which woke them!
We complained and was told it would be happen again as we wouldn't have the same seats on the way home....well we did we had exactly the same problem!! I was fuming and they ended up leaving us in the seats instead of moving us which meant if anything would have happened we had no masks for the kids!!

So I suppose I should be thankful that at least that won't happen again! Hope the seats aren't too bad for you :)
