Virgin check suspended (temporarily!!)

Due to short-term difficulties, Virgin Atlantic regrets that it has been forced to temporarily suspend its online DIY check-in service from London Gatwick to Orlando on Wednesday 8th March 2006. The affected flight numbers are VS015 and VS027. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

This seems to happen every so often (I saw the Manchester service was similarly affected a couple of days ago). I hope it's running okay on Friday when I plan to use it!

Looks like it is up and running again now!

I think the probem was that the M/C to MCO flight yesterday was canelled (Engine pronblems), so they change one of the 2 MCO to Gatwick return flights to a M/C flight (I assume that these were both only half full). But this meant that one of the planes for todays 2 flights Gatwick to MCO came from Manchester (yesterdays engine trouble one), and I think that this plane has a different seating arrangement..

Hope the above makes sense - If it does, join Mensa!

Just tried to access the VA site for a little 'practice run' ready for doing the on-line check-in this afternoon ( ), only to find the whole site is down for maintenance!

Not yet - our window opens at 12:30. I'll post back if / when I've done it and will report on how easy / difficult it is
