virgin car hire

hi guys. this is new to me. should we go for the free car hire with virgin? is it for the full 2 weeks? is it good value or should we go for something else when we arrive? we go for third time in sept but always used transfers before. any advise much appreciated. thanks. leanne.

Leanne, Almost without exception the car thru Virgin is the most expensive way of doing it.
Our 25 nights in August was over £800 with Virgin, £450 elsewhere.
Check out Airline network, they have been very competative in recent years, done lots of rentals thru them. Unfortunately for our next trip at Easter they were a little too expensive, I am sticking with Dollar(same as Virgin and Airnet) but going thru www.usrentacar.co.uk £251 for 2 weeks full size car with tank of gas and additional driver (£40 cheaper than airnet)
Others will be along to recommend more companies but dont get it from Virgin unless you have some fantastic offer from them.

I'd echo what Wayneg says.

Don't inform Virgin that you will not pick up the car or they will increase the cost of your package.
They use this to reduce the upfront cost of the holiday.

Don't worry plenty of folk have done the same.
