The chances are you will not have what you need and they will try sell you more, either on the phone on Monday or way OTT at the desks when you arrive but ring and ask, can't you access your reservation online?

Depending how long you are going for, how many in your group and what size car you are getting it could be cheaper to not take Virgin's car at all. For us only being 3 of us but wanting at least a Full size car the upgrades and Insurance make the cost almost double renting elswhere. For this trip we were just on for 24 nights Virgin wanted about £700, USrentacar/Budget cost me £414

Check the costs on USrenatcar.co.uk before you ring. A intermediate car with them for 2 weeks gold cover(extra drivers and tank of gas) costs just over £200 to give you an idea. Virgin probably want more than that just for insurance.
Let us know how you get on.

Edit, if you don't take Virgins car, don't tell them as there is a £30pp unpackaging fee for not taking their car, just book elsewhere and don't collect theirs.

virgin has three types of insurance, basic, full, and premium

basic is free, full £15 a day, and premuim £18 a day

i think if you dont no what you have got and booked online you most likely have basic, and will need to upgrade to full, whcih allows only one driver. (if you have more than one driver to need to have platium insurance). basic is just the standard were you still need to take our insurance, and will have to pay taxes locally i think.

thanks for that

ill have a look at my online thingamee bob with virgin and take it from there
