Virgin Baggage Allowance

Hey Guys,

I know someone will know the answer to this (hopefully )
We are flying out on Friday with Virgin Atlantic and booked before the 25th Nov last year.....Do you know if we are entitled to one or two pieces of luggage per person???

The website makes me think 2 per person but our itinerary arrived and it only states 23kg (1 bags worth!!)

Any help would be much appreciated!!!

from my understanding of it if your booking was ticketed before 25th nov then you are entitled to 2 pieces

if you booked with virgin holidays before 25th nov then i would say its only 1 piece as the booking would not have been ticketed before that date

I booked with Disney UK, flight inclusive with VA flights. I also booked before the change came in last November and emailed VA to double check. They stated that I am entitled to 2 pieces, although my ticket only says one. I posted a similar question last week as to whether I should take any confirmation with me and nobody who flew recently had a problem with the extra bag, except someone who checked in at DTD for the return and it was cleared with a supervisor first. HTH

It definatley should be 2 but I would ring and double check.

On a side note we booked after that date but as Thomas cook had 'booked' them before that date we were entiltled to 2! I was chugged it meant more shopping for me and boy did I shop!

When you call, ask if they would be willing to send you email confirmation of your allowance. I have printed my email from VA anyway so if there are any questions I know I have some fallback. I am not concerned however, after reading responses from others last week. It seems there is no problem with them honouring the old allowance where applicable. HOpe you have a great trip.

Don't worry, it's deffo 2 pieces each at 23kg each. We had same thing where our final ticket said one piece each but DH phoned and the poor guy on the phone sounded like he'd answered the query a million times!! When you get to the airport, they know you are entitled to 2 each. Trust me, we just got back yesterday and it was no problem

I phoned this morning and your right! The poor person on the other end of the phone sounded like they'd answered the question every day since the allowance changed, lol!!

I will keep packing now, wahoo!!

Well if they had left it on their booking confirmations like it had been shown up until recently, they would have avoided all the phone calls. Happy packing .... and happy shopping!
