Hi there!

I am off the WDW AKL in July and can't wait :cool1: but am quite keen to take my two younger sisters over to WDW at the end of November for 1 week. :flower:

I have checked Virgin's website (always fly with them over to the States) but they don't offer the early booking discount in November/December months :sad2: - only if you are travelling up until 31st OCtober. Can't afford to take them if there is no discount!!!

Does anyone know, from past experience, whether they offer a discount later on in the year for travel in November/December??

I don't know the answer to this, but are you a member of the Flying Club? The Miles Plus Money Fares for 1 November - 15 December are £274 for economy.

I to always fly with Virgin. Believe it or not, it's appears to me to always be cheaper to NOT book with Virgin Direct.

Try a reputable Travel Agent or even better, Internet Travel Agent.

Thanks for the advice .. I am a "frequent virgin" so could I get an even better discount via a Travel Company than I would direct! If so great :cool1:

Wanted to take my younger sisters to WDW WL at the end of November but there are no rooms via Virgin left now :sad2: so may have to look at booking the hotel directly with Virgin (still have rooms left) and flights with Virgin seperately (although never done it this way before)

Does anyone know whether I get a "frequent virgin" discount on flights only??

Yes youcan get discount on anything you book with Virgin. I have got the discount for flight only and discount on hotel only.

The WL may be cheaper to book direct with Disney. They often have very good prices.

I booked my VA flights via Funway holidays for this Dec and they worked out cheaper than VH for the same flights even with the Freq. discount.

DisneyBB, who do you book your hotels through?? Sorry also, Funways Holidays, i've not heard of these, do they have a website?

Funways have a broucher and a web site. www.funwayholidays.co.uk. Their web site doesn't seem much good I would phone up for prices. They have an allocation of virgin seats on each plane, hence they seem to be able to book quite far in advance. I saved £500 on flight prices over the VH. They ask that you book 3 nights accommodation with them, but if you don't want to use it they call it "throw away" and book the cheapest motel. I actually used them for 3 nights in the all stars as they were quite competive considering.

If booking a hotel I look at the online hotel bookings sites, try looking at www.tripadvisor.com and they list all the internet sites. I have found that sometimes booking hotel only through VH has worked out cheaper than booking direct. For instance I got the Marriott by universal for £36 a night in a king suite, where the best price online was $99 plus tax. Booking disney hotels an work out cheaper if you can book direct with disney, www.disney.com. They quite often have savings with Annual passes etc. VH will still give the 10% off if you book hotel only and you are a freq virgin.
