Hi :wave2:
Just a quick question. My Sister who is 17 is flying to Orlando with virgin and I was wondering if her Teen price qualifies for Air miles or do you have to be paying the adult fare?

Also if you are flying pe (full fare) do you qualify more air miles than if you are flying ecom?

Thank you

Your sis will get the full complement of miles. You'll receive 1 1/2 times the economy miles for PE. :)

I think that although her flight would be entitled to flying club miles, shecould only open a flying club account if aged 18 or over.

My husband and I each have our account as you cannot collect another persons miles, and we lose those miles from our daughter's flight.

I might be wrong but it would be worth checking with VA.

My girls have been members of the Flying Club for a while now (several years) and younger dd only reached 18 last October.

Don't forget to introduce them to Flying Club, rather than just getting them to sign up. Unless anything has changed recently, you will receive 7500 miles.

I don't understand what you mean? :confused3

You can open an account if you are 12 or over, which is when you usally pay adult fare..
As Florida is the only desitination with the teen price I was wondering that as she is not paying the adult price would she still be able to claim the points.

She is going to orlando with my parents this year and to california with us next year so has opend an account to collect her own points.

We are hoping to use her points (for her) on a flight to NY in 2008 so that is why I wanted to know if she would get the points.

I did not do this as I have olny Just realised you can do it while looking at the site.

My brother, Mum and Dad are also going to orlando so if i introduce them will i get the 7500 points for each of them? :confused3

Sorry another question... Does anyone understand how you get points for the car hire. I had original booked with our travel agency however I am thinking of canceling and booking with Virgins partner company to earn the points?

Have you had a look at the Virgin website for flying club members? There is a section on questions and answers.

From my understanding, send your mum and Dad e-mails with the recommendation in it. They then register seperately. They then phone virgin Flying club) and register their flights as flying club. Once they take their flights, they earn points and you get bonus points. You may get 2 lots I'm not sure.

The same thing should happen with your daughter. It doesn't matter who pays for the flight, it is the person flying that gets the points.

Children over 12 earn flying club points.

If in doubt give them a ring, they are really helpful.
