We are off to Florida in three weeks time and managed to book our seats to and from Florida online last night.

Seriously, you have to do this quickly because they seem to be going very quickly. I maybe very wrong, but you might be lumbered sitting on the aisle and on your lonesome.

The return trip to Gatwick was more filled than that of going out.

We booked ours online about 180 days out - apparently you can now book almost a year out.

Really? Wow. We reserved our seats 13 days before we leave, but that's because that's when we ended up actually booking the holiday! :rotfl: While a lot of the seats were taken, we managed to get as reasonably close to where we wanted, and even ended up with the same seats there and on the way back!!!!

We're on the same flight two days after you. Please tell Mickey that we'll be seeing him soon.

I do mine asap after booking the flights, already chosen seats for Oct, Xmas and Easter.

We fly out three days before you, but, HEY! you never know we could be on the same flight on the 6th.

Just wanted to say thanks for saying about booking seats on Virgin as I took your advice and booked ours. I didn't know you could do that!! We fly out on 7th Sept but we're going to New York first for a few days and then off to Orlando.

Thanks again!!

Vick :)

THINK it's 336 days (before your return flight??)

Silly question. We have booked a Virgin package (not just flights) and I can't see how to book the seats. Can you still do it if its not flight only?

Any help appreciated, thanks.

Looks like we're on the same flight. I'll be the one with about a hundred cases!! LOL

No problem - silly questions are often the most obvious, yet unknown ones :teeth:

If you've booked directly with Virgin, you can manage your booking including seat arrangements here.

does the link to enable you to book your plane seats only come viewable within the 336 day limit? It's still over a year for us so I'm assuming that the link will only show when it's actually available for our flight?

They will only appear on here when the dates are available to prebook and so if it is that far in advance then they would appear on here. I can't remember the total amount.

VH pass on your details to VA 11 months before the date of your return flight, so you might find you have to wait a couple of weeks longer than you expect before you can book your seats.

it says on a letter with my first invoice that you need your full name, flight details and 'airline locator' that can be obtained from them - anyone know if this differs per booking or if it's universal?
